Swimming in the Cenotes Indigenous Eyes in Punta Cana

Awesome trip! Roberto was a great guide - professional, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and gave me all the time I wanted to enjoy the experience. I was lucky enough to be the only one on the trip - on other trips I've known them to get cancelled if they don't get a certain minimum number of people, but I got VIP one-on-one treatment. Definitely take swimming gear - the cenotes are 'fresh' but not cold. The visit was around 2.5 hours in total. Roberto said I was more than welcome to stay longer in the cenotes, but I was happy with the time I spent there. Pickup and drop-off were prompt, drivers professional and safe. No complaints!

The area was pristine and well maintained. Our guide, Soyla, was fluent in English and Spanish and did an excellent job explaining and answering questions. We really appreciated learning about the animals in the area and swimming in the lagoons was the highlight of the day. And the gift shop they took us to on the way home was very nice. I highly recommend.

A real rip-off. Expensive, disappointing, and totally avoidable. Don't fall into the trap. The excursion to "Ojos Indígenas" is a real rip-off and one of the biggest disappointments of our trip. They sell the experience as if it were an idyllic, extraordinary, and exclusive place, but the reality is completely different. It is an exorbitantly expensive excursion for what it actually offers. The place has nothing special to justify the fortune they charge for admission. They are small lagoons that you can see in any other natural environment without paying those abusive prices. There is no maintenance or services that add value to the experience; they are only looking to collect money at the tourist's expense. We felt that we wasted our time and money in an absurd way. If you are hesitating to go, save yourself the trouble and look for any other alternative in the area. There are much more beautiful, authentic, and affordable places. I am writing this so that no one else falls for this deception or gives away their money to such an overrated attraction. Avoid it at all costs!

I loved this tour. It was really good to hear about the conservation efforts at the ecological park and see the bees, iguanas, hawks. It was a nice relaxing walk through the park. It’s all flat ground so perfect for children and the elderly. The cenotes were absolutely breathtaking. The water was clear and vibrant blue,green. We swam in 2 of the 4 swimmable ones. Next time I go I would feel comfortable just getting a ride to the park and exploring on my own. That way I could see more of the cenotes. The park felt safe and there were lots of people there. They took us to a chocolate and souvenir store after where I got a delicious coffee. I highly recommend.

Amazing. The conservation centre was small but inforative. The guide is a conservation worker so coikd answer questions fully. The cenotes are pristine. Touf is small grouos so not busy or overcrowded. Fish, Turtles, perfect clean water.

This is one of my favorite excursions that we have ever done. You start the tour at the hawk rescue center. The carer came out and brought one of the birds out for us to see up close. It was evident how much he cared about the birds and their wellbeing. They are partnered with a falcon rescue center in the US. From there, we learned about honeybees, the rhinoceros iguana, and the coral reef restoration project. We then walked over to the cenotes. There are 12 total but only four are swimmable. We visited two on the tour and got about 30-40 minutes in each one. It was beautiful and the most refreshing water we were in all week! One the way back to the resort, we stopped at the Taino shops. They had samples of chocolate, coffee, and mamajuana. It was a very fun day and we appreciated exploring some of the beauty of the island.

This was a perfect afternoon tour. The location was lovely, the guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. The walk was absolutely stunning through the woods and the cenotes were magnificent. I highly recommend this tour. Roberto was an excellent guide and we appreciated being able to speak to the hawk expert.

Worth the swim in the Cenotes (2 total), and the walk is beautiful (but watch your step!). Our bus was late so we missed the wildlife “educational” portion. The rest of the experience was extremely rushed. The tasting portion was about three minutes total, grab a tiny cup of chocolate, next a tiny cup of coffee then herded to get a tiny cup of mama Juana.

Amazing trip!! We saw a lot of comments saying that it wasn’t worth it, for me and my girlfriend was perfect. Paradise landscape!! The guide was very kind and managed to convey every feeling from that place to us. The driver was also very kind and attentive. It was all perfect, I highly recommend!!
