Surreal West Tour Waterfalls Natural Pools and Enchanted Forests

This was the highlight of our trip to Madeira! Madeira Surreal seems like a great tour company and Romero is an incredible tour guide. We've done many tours (often Viator) and he ranks as one of the best tour guides we've had. This specific tour (Surreal West Waterfalls, Pools, and Forest) was the perfect 1-day sample of what Madeira has to offer. You get Cabo Girao (sea cliff sky bridge), mountains, the ancient forest, rocky coastline (and possibly a little time to swim if you want), and gorgeous waterfalls. The tour was paced out very well. We had just a little time at each spot--enough to see everything, but not enough to get tired or bored. Every place was scenic and had wonderful photo ops. I think we took more pictures on this tour than the rest of our trip combined. Romero was personable and communicative, really bringing each stop to life with lots of additional information and context. Our tour was in English, but he speaks about 6 languages. I liked that our tour group was small (8 people plus our guide) so we were able to make lots of stops without taking forever to load and unload. Take the early tour if possible because you can beat some of the crowds at the most popular spots. I enthusiastically recommend this company and would definitely try to take a tour from this tour company, Madeira Surreal, if I visit again.

What an amazing day, for the price of the 7hour trip it was so worth it, the atmosphere was great in the small group we was with, it was lovely to get to know everybody else and to learn lots about the island, our guides were fantastic and very funny, would highly recommend this trip.

We just spent the day with an awesome chap called Marco who took us around Madeira in his yellow mini bus. He was so full of information about everything Madeira and was very entertaining too. The trip was really great and worth every penny. A truly wonderful way to see the island and very highly recommended

Our tour guide was excellent, provided useful commentary and background without overwhelming us. The tour size was just right and a minivan is preferable to the jostling a 4x4 that other tours offer. checking on client satisfaction throughout the trip, Excellent way to see the highlights of the West of the island, without the stress of driving! Great value for money.

Romero is very nice, good value for money, and a great overview of what the island has to offer, the stop times are sufficient and the ride is well-paced.

We had a great day exploring the west coast and Fanal Forest with our guide Romero. He did a great job filling us in on local information as we drove along taking in spectacular views. He shared lots of helpful tips and insights that helped us get to know the island. We spent just enough time at each stop, although we could have used more time at the pools. We thought this trip was well worth the price and saved us navigating some very challenging roads on our own!

We saw many beautiful places and viewpoints in one day. Our guide Romero was great. He was friendly and helpful. I liked that he shared a lot of interesting information about Madeira and explained what we were seeing along the way. He was always happy to answer our questions. Definitely recommend this tour!

We had a great experience on this tour. Our guide(Romero) was very friendly, charismatic, and kept us informed throughout the day. We really enjoyed the conversations during the trip, and the landscapes were absolutely beautiful. Everything was well organized, and we enjoyed the tour from start to finish.
