Our company brings you to the fortress island of Suomenlinna which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the no. 1 must-see tourist attraction of Finland with its historical sea fortress. This ticket includes a guided walking tour in English by an authorised guide. The tour takes you around the fortress islands through the centuries, presenting the main sights and the key events in the history of the fortress. The tour offers interesting perspectives on the Finnish history and history of Northern Europe. The duration of the ferry ride is 25 minutes. The duration of the tour is about 1 hour. After the tour you can explore the island at your own pace and/or head back to the Market Square with the next ferry. Departure frequency of 30 minutes. Vessels leave from Helsinki Market Square next to the Korkeasaari zoo pier. Look for our company signs, red flags. Ferry transportation from Helsinki Market Square to Suomenlinna fortress island and/or Lonna restaurant island. Many scheduled departures from morning until late evening - explore the island at your own pace. Maximum departure frequency at Market Square and the islands: 30 minutes. Buy a cup of coffee or a cold beer onboard and enjoy the views of the Helsinki archipelago. Our ferries will bring you directly to the centre of Suomenlinna. Our friendly staff onboard will be happy to help in case of any questions. At Suomenlinna, a guided tour is included. During the guided walking tour an authorised guide tells about the 260 years of eventful history of Suomenlinna under the rule of three different states as well as the life on the island today. The guide will take you to the most important sights of the fortress. In addition you can visit the restaurant island of Lonna with the same ticket.

The directions for boarding the ferry were very vague. Didn’t show the ticket anywhere. The walking tour group was way to large but the guide was excellent,
The instructions for this trip are confusing. The description states meeting at two different places, the Helsinki dock or on the island. The tour is given by the Suomenlinna Visitors Center. You meet in the visitors center. I would never have known where to meet had I not asked one of the employees in the visitor's center. This tour has no meeting place at the dock in Helsinki. Yes Trip Advisor bought my ticket so I had a reservation, but the tour is not organized or operated by Trip Advisor. The tour is very informative and worthwhile.
This was a very enjoyable day. The 10am ferry arrived on the island on time at 10.25am and I walked to the museum and took the 10.30am tour in English. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained the fortress history. After the tour I spent another 2 hours walking around the island visiting the parts that interested me. I then returned to the wharf and took the ferry back to Helsinki. Highly recommended.
A very good short overview of the fortress which you then can explore on your own time. The guide was very knowledgable.

Ferry got the job done, Island was beautiful and interesting, particularly for those with an onterest in history. Guide was knowledgeable but had poor people skills/sad personality.
