Sunset Kayak Adventure in Milos to Colorful Klima
Description
Push off from Lagada Beach in Adamas and dip your paddle into Milos’ unbelievably clear water. As you kayak north, you’ll hug the island’s rocky coast, discovering hidden little coves, discovering hidden catacombs, and following cliffs streaked with warm orange and red. With the sea moving under your kayak, the best part comes when you round that last bend: suddenly, Klima’s famous syrmata – that whole row of brightly painted boathouses – pops into view right on the water’s edge. Seeing Klima this way, from the sea just like the fishermen always have, especially as the setting sun lights up the cliffs and those colorful doors, really shows you why this place feels so special. It’s the perfect way to experience it.

George from Riptide team really made our kayaking experience special! He was very flexible and willing to adapt the tour exactly to our skills and needs (we were the only ones on that evening). The kayaking was fun and Klima bay beautiful. The photos we shot in George‘s GoPro turned out great and very funny. We got them on the next day already! George even bought us some delicious local pie that we ate after snorkelling which we appreciated a lot. Even after the tour, George gave us great Milos recommendations (e.g. a local festival in one village of the island) that we would have never known about if we hadn‘t met him. What a lovely way to explore Milos and experience the sunset at the gorgeous Klima village. Our friendly and helpful guide Charis taught us the ropes and we were on our way to Klima from near the port. Along the way he shared stories about the villages on the way and information about the geology and history of the island. We saw several villages along the way, amazing landscapes, rocks and fossils. We had plenty of time to paddle to the village before the sunset and explored on land for awhile. Afterwards we coasted back with the current and enjoyed the dusk and beautiful views. Highly recommend!
