We have experienced food tours in other cities, but what made this a stand-out was our guide, Helene. She listened to our preferences and adjusted the tour accordingly. Helene was enthusiastic about showing us her city. The knowledge she shared was so helpful after we parted ways to ensure the remainder of our stay in Strasbourg was successful. It was great fun to hang out with a cool girl, ask her questions and hear her perspective as well as historical and practical details. Oh, and the food was varied and plentiful!
This was a fantastic experience! The guide offered amazing insights into life and the history of Strasbourg. The food was great and her personal touch was even better!
Our culinary tour in Strasbourg was a perfect experience to combine city discovery and culinary specialties. Our guide Hélène spared no effort in sharing her cultural knowledge with her dynamism and charming personality. She made our first day in Strasbourg unforgettable. A guide that is both pleasant and friendly, which we highly recommend. Thank you!
We had a great time with our guide. We were the only two that booked for the time slot so we had a private tour. There was a slight misunderstanding with our guide as she was doing a conventional tour and we had booked the street food tour but she quickly rectified it and took us to a fantastic fromagerie for cheese tastings (we bought a nice slab and they sealed it up for us to bring home), we had lovely mango and lemon desserts and sausages native to the region. Her knowledge of the area and storytelling was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would do it again in a heartbeat.
We had a last minute change in our guide, so not sure if that impacted our experience or not. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of Strasbourg. The food tour kind meandered and was mainly focused on the bakeries. The city is beautiful and we got to see all the highlights. We left a little disappointed in the food tour part of this experience considering that was the point of the experience.
The next travelers should know they'll be in for some knowledgeable learning some very interesting and delicious local area food and drink.
Great guide, Helene took us to all her favorite stops. We had sooo much food we weren’t even hungry for dinner hours late
We had such an enjoyable time with Helene. It’s clear she truly loves Strasbourg and sharing the tasty food of her city. She listened to our preferences then tailored our day for us. Helene is smart, personable, and a delight to spend the day with getting to know the city.
First visit to Strasbourg. Looking for history lesson and a tasting of Alsatian foods. Helene delivered on interesting history of Alsace and delicious local cuisine and wine. Helene’s enthusiasm for the Alsatian culture and excellent selection of foods was spot on. She even recommended a really exciting restaurant for a special birthday dinner that evening. Superb!
