Annika was a warm and welcoming host. We had a great time learning about the ingredients and how to cook Amagwinya, Cape Malay chicken curry, Roti from scratch and Malva pudding. Of course, we then had the opportunity to eat these delicious dishes. So good! As there was only two of us it was so much better than joining a large class in a big commercial kitchen. We also enjoyed the conversation and the opportunity to learn a little more about life in South Africa. If you enjoy cooking and exploring new cuisines and you are looking for something different to do beyond the usual tourist trail, this is a must-do experience in Cape Town. Thank you again to Annika for a wonderful day. This was our first Traveling Spoon booking and certainly won't be our last, Anne and Paul.
Being able to participate in the food preparation from scratch and learning her mother’s cooking secrets.
