Sorrento: Capri Small-Group Boat Tour with Swim & 4 hour ashore

Description
Portrayed by artists, sung by poets, the island of Capri is the pearl of the Gulf of Naples. From Sorrento, enjoy an amazing journey sailing the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea onboard our typical "gozzo" boat with a maximum group size of 12 people. The charming fishing village of Marina Grande and an ancient Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC will be the scenery of our trip along the Sorrento peninsula. Once in Capri, be captivated by the beauty of the island: the imposing Faraglioni rocks, the villa of Curzio Malaparte, the suggestive colored grottoes: White Grotto - Green Grotto - Blue Grotto and the lighthouse of Punta Carena. 4 hours of free time ashore to visit Capri city center and with enough time to reach Anacapri chair lift by bus or taxi. Stop for swimming and opportunity to visit the Blue Grotto, depending on waiting times. Free bottle of Prosecco, beer, soft drinks and seasonal fruit on board. Return to Sorrento around 4:30 pm.

Stop to take a picture of the legendary Faraglioni, rocks thrown, according to Homer, by the Cyclops Polyphemus to get the attention of his father Neptune, God of the sea
Disembarkation on the island. Visit Capri's main attractions: the main square "La Piazzetta", Via Camerelle (Capri's most famous street for shopping in international brand shops) and the Augustus Gardens.
Stop for swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the island
Visit the Green Grotto, classified by speleologists as secondary (i.e. produced, due to destructive phenomena, after the formation of the mother rock), is composed of the oldest sedimentary rock on Capri, dolomite.
Pass by the Lighthouse of Punta Carena, one of the oldest in Italy from which you can admire the ancient path of the Bourbon forts.

It was overall a great experience. The driver and assistant were very nice. The water was a bit rough, but that was out of their control. The blue grotto was closed but that gave us more time to go around and swim!
The captain Rafaella was wonderful. She looked after us from start to finish. The island itself was mesmering from the boat and full of Italian life. we had enough time to do the anacapri swing by taking the blue bus as recommended by Rafaella - very grateful for that tip! The boat itself was very nice and we had fruit and Prosecco on board which was special for my birthday. Would recommend to anyone!
This boat tour was perfect! We met our captain at the meeting point (a restaurant where you can get a coffee and/or food) and we were on our way. The boat itself was excellent - comfortable, spacious and our captain was skilled and wonderful. We were shown all the sites and went for a swim on the way to capri. We were on capri for 3 hours and then once back on the boat had another hour of swim. We arrived back in Sorrento happy and sun-kissed!
Very disappointing experience and unfortunately not at all what we were promised when we booked this 8-hour Capri boat trip. Our boat was scheduled to leave at 9:00 AM, but we did not actually depart until later. We were specifically told that we would arrive at Capri first and have approximately four hours to get off the boat, explore the island, shop, and enjoy Capri. The swimming portion of the trip was supposed to happen AFTER our time exploring the island. When we arrived at Capri, we were stopped by guards and held for approximately 30 minutes while they asked the captain for paperwork. What was especially frustrating was that absolutely no explanation was given to us about what was happening or why we were not being allowed to get off the boat. We were simply left sitting there for 30 minutes with no communication. Because of this, we were unable to follow the itinerary we had booked. Instead of getting off the boat and exploring Capri first as promised, we were taken around the island and stopped for approximately 30 minutes to swim. Again, we had no problem with the swimming itself — that was part of the trip we booked — but it was supposed to happen AFTER our four hours exploring Capri, not before. This completely disrupted the itinerary and took away from the time we had specifically booked to spend on the island. We also did not receive the wine or snacks that we expected to be included with the experience. Another major disappointment was the Blue Grotto. We knew that visiting the Blue Grotto required an additional fee and were completely willing to pay it. However, we were not even given the option to go. The boat company simply would not take us there, meaning we never had the opportunity to pay the additional fee and see it. Overall, the trip felt very poorly organized. We lost time because of the late departure, then spent 30 minutes dealing with the unexplained situation with the guards, followed by another 30 minutes swimming before we were able to properly explore Capri. By the time we finally got onto the island, a significant amount of our scheduled time had already been lost. The biggest issue was the lack of communication. We understand that unexpected situations can happen with port authorities, but we should have been told what was happening and why. Instead, we were left completely confused while our limited time was being wasted. We booked an 8-hour partial private boat experience expecting to have a well-organized day: explore Capri for four hours, shop and enjoy the island, then swim afterward. That is not what happened. Between the late departure, the unexplained 30-minute delay with the guards, the swimming being moved to before our island visit, the missing wine and snacks, and not being given the option to visit the Blue Grotto even though we were willing to pay the extra fee, this was a very disappointing experience for the price.
Had a great day! Everything was well organized, good vibes on the boat, with music and refreshments and lots of smiles. We had time to swim, time to explore Capri and see some places around with the boat. Fully met our expectations!
We had a great day on the boat! Nice warm welcome by chichi and davide. Safe and beautiful tour around the island. Lots of tips and explanations. Closing the day with a swim between the fish in the blue ocean.
Great tour and good guide. She could have been a little more forward and offered more drinks. Good to get bathed on the way and on the way back when it was very hot
The whole trip was excellent. Checking in was simple, the boat had everything we needed. Refreshments were offered regularly. The captain gave some great advice about what to do on capri
Totally awesome experience, we had the best day boating and swimming around the isle of capri. Would definitely book again.
It was a great day! The guide Lucio was the atmosphere maker from moment one together with the captain Marcelino. He explained everything well, told all kinds of things about Capri and showed beautiful places around with stories to go with it. Music and the dance moves were shown. It was an unforgettable fun day! We ended the day with a swim in the sea in a quiet place, where we were all partying in the water;).
