Snorkeling in Santa Maria Island of Salt

Description
Snorkeling is an attractive activity for several reasons. First, it is an accessible and easy way to explore the underwater world, as it does not require specialized training, such as cylinder diving. Snorkeling allows you to observe marine life in shallow waters, providing an experience close to nature without the need for complex equipment. In addition, it is a relaxing and fun activity, ideal for those who want to have an experience of contact with the sea without getting away from the surface too much. Snorkeling is also a great option for those seeking tranquility and direct contact with marine ecosystems, such as coral reefs, fish cardumes and turtles. Our concern is to provide you with amazing experiences that will bring you to life.

We had a really enjoyable experience as a family. Beautiful beach where we set off, was great to witness the local fishermen coming in with their catches from the day! Well organised with great communication throughout. The sea was lovely and calm so we all felt safe in the water, the tour guides were really attentive and pointed us in the right direction to view the sea turtles. It was also amazing to see a shipwreck with other beautiful fish who inhabit around it. The owner was really chatty and fun to be around. Overall a fantastic experience for a family . The trip is fairly short but perfect if you just want to experience snorkelling in the beautiful waters.
Fantastic, guides were amazing. We snorkelled and saw beautiful fish and turtles. Nothing was too much for guides to help with
The experience is very cool but a bit short for the price paid. The people who run it there are very friendly and are very attentive to ensure that no accidents occur.
A crew that is attentive and responsive to the group. They were very helpful in the water
Brilliant experience! Highly recommend, friendly guides, all equipment supplied, got to see 5 turtles which was unexpected. It can get busy which can make the turtles skittish but not the fault of the guides.
Thank you!
I would not book here again. First, a 45-minute wait. The guides were listless; they didn't talk at all to those who didn't speak Portuguese. No instructions. Large group, in the water you had to be careful not to get hit by fins. Just barely doable for my 11-year-old, not recommended for younger ones.
I went alone and met lots of other nationalities. We all were hoping to see turtles 🐢. I think it was windy and sea was rough. We had our tour delayed from morning to 2pm. The staff were good and friendly. The boat was clean and managed by three men. We saw and held a large star fish. Visibility was poor but they tried hard to meet expectations. I got my feet cut coming back on the boat. Not major but just beware of the stairs. I was thinking about beach shoes. I think it might be a good idea next time.
Everything was fine, but we had the bad luck that the sea was rough and we only saw one turtle
Very bad tour, I am only giving two points because, as everywhere on Cape Verde, they make a great effort regarding safety. Everything else was bad. The touchspots are not worth a cent. There is nothing to see. The guides are listless. The tour started too late, but ended too early. The two hours turned into about one and a half.
Good communication before trip- good organisation, equipment supplied if u don't have your own. Need to get to boat in waist deep water so limit what you bring- we left our bags in the van of the organiser- was safe. Snorkeling was great- life vest gave you bounacy as sea was rough. We saw turtles, small shark and fish- guide was great diving for a starfish to show us. Would totally recommend.
