Small Group Whale Shark Snorkeling in La Paz, Mexico

Had a perfect day - both our captain and our guide were great and took good care of us. They were knowledgeable about the nature and wildlife in the area, and took us to see some stunning places. And we even got to end the day with some dolphin sightings on our way back! All in all, a magical day. Highly recommend Mariela and Marco, and Tuna Tours!

Tuna Tuna tours did us a huge favour and at last minute got my partner and I on the 09.00 whale shark tour after another operator we had booked with did a no show. The tour itself was not mind blowing though it was the last day of the season and there were few sharks remaining. The operators were very good however and did their best to make it an enjoyable experience.

Our guide was great! Knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The whale sharks were treated with respect, which really mattered to us. I think the experience was a bit overpriced, but on-par with others in the area.

We had an amazing experience. We were only a small group of 4. This made the experience very personalized. Stephanie, our guide and Juan, our captain were outstanding. They immediately spotted a whale shark and knew how to guide us so that we could live a memorable moment with this mastodon. We also enjoyed the sea lions, they were very playful. We ended the excursion with a picnic on a private beach in Balandra. Very cold beer, tacos and fish ceviche which was really excellent. Swimming and rest before returning to port. Perfect day!!!

This was the excursion we took that I was not expecting much from. Even though it was almost time for the whale sharks to depart, Pedro and the captain took the time to search and we found them. Not only did they take amazing photos and pictures, we were able to create a family memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you to Tuna Tuna tours for making our whale shark excursion so memorable.

We had an incredible Whale Shark Experience. We were lucky to find a whale shark almost immediately and saw a few swimming around the boat. The Marine Biologist and the Captain were fantastic. We were able to snorkel with the whale sharks 3 different times and each experience was amazing. Our tour had 10 people and we broke up into 3 groups which gave each group plenty of time to snorkel with these amazing animals. We loved the entire experience and were happy to hear that only 14 boats at a time and only 56 boats per day are allowed to visit the whale sharks. We were the only boat following our particular whale sharks which made it feel like a one on one experience without competing with multiple snorkelers and boats. This made the experience feel personalized and special. We would highly recommend this tour.

It was very fun, safe, and memorable experience for my 6 year old child and myself. The staff are very kind, experienced, and flexible, and I truly appreciate their support.

Wow! What a morning with Tuna Tuna Tours. Before we left the dock we got our find and wet suits ready to go. Mariel gave us some background about whale sharks and also what we were going to do each time we jumped in the water. I got 3 jumps and each one got better and better. On my last jump, I swam parallel to a whale shark for at least 5 min. It was INCREDIBLE!! The water is a bit murky, but once you get closer, you can see the whale shark perfectly. From the shadows to then seeing its spots. Loved every second of it. Thank you to the boat captain and Mariel! Pics and videos are included as well. BONUS!

My friends and I had such a memorable time with Pablo and Marco, seeing whale sharks for the first time! They provided everything we needed, and the ceviche was soo delicious! They were knowledgeable, answering any questions we had, and shared some interesting facts on along the way. Would definitely go again, because wow whale sharks!
