It was a great tour and experience. Our guide Marcella was very friendly helpful and professional. Highly recommending her.
The tour company was wonderful and did everything as expected. The Blue Grotto may not be for you if it's a hot day or if you're at all claustrophobic. The goal was to be one of the 1st groups in line so there wouldn't be a long wait. We learned that often the Blue Grotto doesn't open until later after long lines have formed. Because it didn't open at 9 when our group would have gotten there, we saw Anacapri 1st which was beautiful. When the grotto opened around 11 our group was taken to the line and we waited in blazing hot sun with very little shade for 3 hours. The line moved very little and we were told it could have been worse. I was unaware that we would have to lie down in the small boats in order to get into the grotto since the opening is so low. Once in the cave it was very small with waves crashing in. Anyone with space issues may have a hard time. When it was time to leave the grotto we had to wait for the other boats coming in. Only one boat at a time could pass through and going against the waves with boats coming in was stressful. Yes it was beautiful, but overall not enjoyable. Had the line and the hot sun not been a factor the experience would have been much different. For 10 minutes in the water it wasn't worth the money.
Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found our tour company wonderful and that everything we could control was handled as expected. However, we would like to clarify a few important points regarding your experience with the Blue Grotto, as some aspects of your review may give future guests an inaccurate impression of what is included in the tour and what is beyond our control. The Blue Grotto is a natural and protected site, and its access is regulated by the local authorities. Due to the extremely low entrance, visitors must transfer to small authorized rowboats and lie down briefly to enter the grotto. Only one boat can enter at a time. These are the standard conditions for visiting the Blue Grotto and are not procedures established by or controlled by our company. This information is also clearly explained in our tour description, together with pictures of the Blue Grotto and the boats. We also do not decide when the Blue Grotto opens. Its accessibility depends on the sea and weather conditions and is determined by the local authorities for safety reasons. Therefore, if the grotto is closed in the morning and opens later, we unfortunately have no control over this. Our guide simply adapts the itinerary according to the official opening. Regarding the three-hour wait, we understand that waiting under the sun was unpleasant. However, once the Blue Grotto opened, the queue and waiting time were determined by the number of visitors and the official access system, which we cannot control. We completely understand that the experience may not have been enjoyable for you personally, particularly if you are uncomfortable with confined spaces or waiting in the heat. However, these are characteristics and operating conditions of the Blue Grotto itself rather than issues with the tour service we provide. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your personal expectations, but we hope this clarification helps future travelers understand exactly what visiting the Blue Grotto involves and why some aspects of the experience cannot be controlled by the tour operator. Kind regards, Alessandra
Great tour and our guide Luigi was friendly and knowledgable .
Luigi was great. I only had to queue for 10 mins for the blue grotto boat, he gave us some advice before doing this so we knew what to expect. We didn’t have to queue at all for the chairlift. We had enough free time in each place. We were advised to eat in Anacapri but this was too early for me, so I opted for a caprese sandwich in Capri which was just right. We paid €25 euro extra for a boat trip around Capri. Fanastic and worth every penny. Overall great trip.
Our tour guide Luigi went above and beyond in service and giving information. He was funny and knowledgable. The experience was everything it was advertised to be, everything explained at the beginning of the day. Ample time to do and see the local areas. It was a well planned out itinerary that did its best to beat the crowds during peak season. .
From start to finish this was a perfect tour! Luigi was simply amazing and made the whole experience a lot better. We were lucky and go to go to the blue grotto, even though at the start of the day it was closed. I am so glad we went with this company and was actually the highlight of our trip. Thank you!
It was wonderful. Our guide Marcello was animated, informative, and easy to hear. The Blue Gtotto was closed in the morning and never did open. Marcello kept us informed throughout the day. We took the tour only to see it and just weren’t prepared for how wonderful the rest of the tour was . Easy movement between location, gorgreous Capri and Anacapri, loved our chair ride.
This tour was a wonderful addition to our trip. Louigi our guide was amazing. He incorporated humour and history all in one. He was terrific. The views are unreal and meeting new people from different countries was a real highlight while on the excursion. Thank you- from two Canadians
What an amazing and well organized tour. Our tour guide Marcella was the best. The chair lift is a must. Anacapri had beautiful local shops and was a great atmosphere!
