Mong Kok Experience

Kiyo was a fantastic tour guide who provided lots of cultural background for the Mong Kok neighborhood and Hong Kong in general. And plenty of the food was out of my comfort zone but a great experience! Great mix of baked goods, HK classics, and unexpected dishes.

Operator response

Hi Peter! Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled Kiyo could share such rich cultural background on Mong Kok and Hong Kong with you. We love that the food tour pushed you a little outside your comfort zone too and still enjoyed it. Until next time!

The total experience

Kiyo was the most enthusiastic, informative, entertaining and friendly experience leader! This was a delicious food tour but so much more. He did such a beautiful job of weaving facts about the food and culture into the tour. A must do when in Hong Kong.

Highly recommended tour and good eats

I had an amazing experience joining this tour as someone who is staying in Hong Kong and wants to learn more about the culture. It was full of amazing food, we were totally stuffed by the end of the tour! I believe the tour covers most if not all of the local hotspots that I did not know about even after staying in Hong Kong for a year. I would definitely recommend this tour to tourists and HK abiding people who want a culture rich, immersive experience and a taste of Hong Kong.

Operator response

Thank you so much for these kind words! We're thrilled the tour gave you a fresh perspective on Hong Kong, even after a year of living here — that's exactly the kind of discovery we love to share. It means a lot to know the food and local hotspots left such an impression, and we truly appreciate you recommending us to both visitors and fellow HK residents. Hope to welcome you on another tour soon!

Fabulous Food Tour led by Sinclair

We had a fantastic time on the guided food tour with our guide Sinclair. He showed us the local sights and sounds of the area and shared so much knowledge and information about Hong Kong’s history and culture. The places he took us to were great and it was has given us a renewed confidence to seek out similar places to eat and food tour try. The food itself and quantity was spot on. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Hong Kong to try a food tour like this one to get a real feel for the area and all It has to offer.

Operator response

Hi Tracy, thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad Sinclair could share his knowledge of Hong Kong's history and culture with you, and that the food and portions hit the mark. Great food tour!

The food tour with Raymond was incredible. We were introduced to some places that serve local authentic delicacies in Sham Shui Po and Mong Kok. The food was really good, and the stories that came along were very engaging. Hong Kong's streets are filled with culture, and Raymon our guide had many stories to tell us about Hong Kong's history and culture. It was interesting to see and hear about how the locals actually think and live. Thanks again Raymond!

Educational, delicious, and nostalgic memories in the Sham Shui Po area

My partner and I did the small group Kowloon food and culture tour in the Sham Shui Po district with our tour guide Sinclair. It was our first trip to Hong Kong and it was a great way to explore an area that we probably wouldn't have thought to go to. I'm North American born Chinese but it still brought back a lot of fond childhood memories for me.

Operator response

Thank you so much for sharing this! We're thrilled the Sham Shui Po food and culture tour with Sinclair gave you such a meaningful first look at Hong Kong — and it means a lot that it brought back fond childhood memories for you too. Thanks again, and we hope to welcome you both back soon!

Great Kowloon food tour

Our guide was Sinclair. He is very good. Friendly and informative. It is a comprehensive tour of some Kowloon districts with a great balance of food, history, contemporary vibe and orientation. We saw several of the street markets Hong Kong is known for and there was ample food.

What a food tour should be, a great mix of food, history and orientation.

Really enjoyed this tour. Sinclair is a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable, he gave us a good mixture of HK today and the past and some great food stops at places you would struggle to find yourself. There was plenty of it too. It's a comprehensive tour covering two districts, several markets, a ride on the MTR and a stop at an historic temple. The tempo was spot on for us. Highly recommended.
