The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is an oval magnificent architecture in the center of Rome. Built of travertine, tuff and brick-faced concrete. It is the largest construction ever build in ancient Rome. It is situated just east of the Roman Forum. Emperor Vespasian began the construction in 72 AD and was completed in 80 AD by its successor Titus.
The roman Forum also known Forum Romanum is a plaza surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient Rome governments buildings at the center of the city. Originally a marketplace, the citizens of the ancient city referred to this place as the Forum Magnum. Dive yourself in the ancient culture to learn the way of life Rome’s predecessors lived.
The Palatine Hill is the only hill from the Seven Hills of Rome situated in the center of Rome. It is the most ancient place of the city, 40 meters above the Roman Forum, looking down upon the Circus Maximus. Augustus Imperial palaces were built here.

A highlight of our visit to Rome. Our guide Berk was great. Lively, told exciting stories, with background information and diagrams. Very pleasant and clear voice. For me one of the best tours I've had. A real highlight. Absolutely recommended.
This is a well worth it experience to not only skip the general admission line, but also to be guided in a small group environment. Our tour guide was an expert on the historical relevance of the Forum and he brought to life the activities of the gladiators and Roman crowds who cheered on their favorites. We were in awe the entire time!
The archeological places on the grounds around the outside of coliseum. Guide was nice but talked really fast and difficult to understand. Audio system was very poor. Was very very crowded in coliseum.
We had two tour guides Tiziana Fiori and I think I remember his name, Mossimo. They were both informative and interesting and at times entertaining. Being sure to keep us safe and in the shade. Thank you.
Our guide was American from California and didn’t give us cohesive history information- it was hard to hear him and we were out in a separate group from our friends which was completely irritating We flew all the way to Rome and our experience with this tour was terrible. Our guide walked so fast and it was so crowded that we lost him at least 4,5 times and had to spend time trying to find him and keep up. Our friends had a much better guide and got so much more out of their tour. We ended up leaving the tour 3/4 way thru because it was so awful. This was our first Viator tour and most likely our last. We learned nothing what so ever from it And it was $140 We asked for a refund and only got 1/2 put money back
Dear Jeanie_K, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We're sorry that the tour didn't meet your expectations. We will investigate with the guide to understand what happened, as their tours are usually appreciated, and we receive enthusiastic reviews. We would like to emphasize that visits to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill have specific time constraints, as participants often have other scheduled activities. For customers who prefer a more relaxed pace and want to have more interaction with the guide, we recommend booking a private tour. We are sorry to hear that your friends ended up in a different group. As you may have noticed, we have several groups departing at the same time, and unless customers specify that they are part of the same group, there is no way for us to know that two separate bookings are related. The refund we provided fully covered the guided tour, as it was not to your liking and the non-refunded portion covers the cost of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill tickets that you used to visit the area. Kind regards, City Walkers Tours
We had a great time on the tour. As I write this can not remember her name(older lady with blonde hair that carried a Hawaiian flower Lao as an identifier) did an amazing job. She had a wealth of knowledge and was excited to share it. She advised us where good spots were to take photos. Couldn’t have asked for more in a guide, she was great.
This was an excellent and very informative tour. Mauricio was an awesome tour guide with a wealth of information. We had 11 people in our small group which I feel is the perfect size. Mauricio made sure we were all together and took great care of us.
John Luca did a great job telling about the history of the coliseum, palatine hill and the Roman forum. Lots of stairs and walking but worth the trip!
Gianluca was an excellent tour guide! I loved his explanations of everything and felt he really took his time with us. Our tour was at 1pm and it was very sunny and hot so he always made an effort to find a shady spot for us. I most enjoyed our time on Palatine Hill and the amazing views.
Radu is the best i love him he knows everything about rome he is like a loving / living wikipedia article
