In 1889, the Margherita Pizza was born, along with the name, given by the Neapolitan Pizza chef Raffaele Esposito in honour of the Queen Margherita. Alessandra, Domenico and Marida, the local guides, were all born and raised in Naples. They love their city and want to share their passion with everyone!

Brunella was a fantastic guide and was super helpful! All of the food was great, but the traditional pizza at Manzotti (?) was probably the best we've had anywhere. Brunella's recommendation for gelato ended up being the best we had in Italy. As a side note, the title and description of this tour are just a little misleading: it's not just a pizza tour, but a street food tour. In fact, of four total stops, only two were pizza (pizza fritta and traditional). So, the next night's street food tour was basically a repeat. Because this is Naples, we specifically researched a pizza-focused/pizza-only tour.
Lovely tour, excellent guide ( Ciro) who was kind and helpful , especially when I got lost on the way. Lots of interesting detail about Napoli and its food. Just too much food - sorry ! I hate wasting it !
