Description
Starting at Boca dos Namorados about 1000 mts high, you’ll enjoy the stunning views over Nuns valley. Then experience an amazing off-road in our open roof 4x4 to Jardim da Serra known for its Cherry production. Take a break with us at a typical Madeiran bar, where each sip of freshly made Poncha tells a story from the island's past, helping the local economy (not included). Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs of the world with 580 mts, known as skywalk, offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Atlantic Ocean (2€ not included). Our adventure leads us to Henriques & Henriques Madeira wine lodge, where you'll have the chance to try different Madeira wines, from Sweet to Dry (3 years old). Finally to end our trip through Madeira's amazing landscapes, we will visit the very famous fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Important: This wine tasting is completely free. Please note that visits to Henriques & Henriques wine lodge may not be available during certain Portuguese holidays.

Our experience was mixed
We enjoyed the tour somewhat. It was a bit difficult to understand the driver/guide and the four of us had to climb in & out of the back of the 4x4 and had to sit facing each other. It was difficult, at time, to see the sights because the windows were lower than our sight line. The Skywalk was very cool and we did visit some beautiful areas with scenic views. Unfortunately, we were told that the winery was closed that day and we weren't able to do the Madeira wine tasting, which was disappointing. The guide did take us to a place to try the poncha, a locally made drink, but we had to pay for that. He probably should have covered the cost to make up for the missed wine tasting.

Fun half day
Excellent tour! Tony was a fun and informative guide. A great “mini” tour of the island, there is so much to see! Next time we will book a whole day.

To visit for the view. Generally, there are too many people. A coffee break for even the beautiful landscapes of Madeira with a magnificent view of Funchal.

We travelled in an open...
We travelled in an open top Land Rover which are not the most comfortable but more than adequate for the trip. Our driver was excellent and very informative in respect of the islands flora and fauna

Highly recommend this tour
After a mixup the boys picked us up near the port. Then off on a fabulous tour up the mountain in 4x4 range rovers. Magnificent views and sights all over. Few stops to try local delicacies like Poncha (lol) maderia wine (had to buy a bottle for medicinal purposes lol) sky walk or in my case sky run. The tour guides were brilliant. Highly recommend a fabulous half day out over this beautiful island.
