Karlo is an amazing tour guide! Very accommodating of special requests. He made the tour educational and fun. I will definitely be doing another tour with Karlo next time I am in Croatia.
Karlo, from Bespoke Croatia, was excellent. I couldn’t have asked for a friendlier, more knowledgeable tour guide. The trip was perfectly catered to my physical abilities and preferences, the food was simply delicious, and I enjoyed every minute of it. When I return to Croatia, I will not hesitate to hire him again.
We had a great day with Karlo exploring the sights and tastes of Zagreb. This tour offers a comprehensive history of the city as well as a look at contemporary culture through food. Karlo is knowledgeable and accommodating and offers thoughtful suggestions to enhance your stay. Well worth your time and money.
We recently visited Croatia and as with other countries we wanted to do a food walking tour of the city. My opinion is that you not only get to have a look around and (hopefully) get a bit of the history of the place but you also get to eat and drink some local fare. We have done trips like this on an evening or afternoon and the format suits us as typically you don’t then need to also go out for an afternoon / evening meal (dependant on when you book). Sadly when we looked there were not any tours that started on an afternoon. However, we happened to find this tour and were really pleased to learn that our tour guide (Karlo) was able to offer a bespoke tour for us at a time (lunchtime) that suited us. Not only this but the tour itself was BRILLIANT - Much better than tours in other EU cities that we have done. And Karlo was the consummate professional. Very knowledgable and passionate about his cities history and very considerate in choosing food and drinks for us to try. We had a totally amazing time and I would highly recommend Karlo for any trips you want to do in the area (we were so impressed we booked him for a second trip straight away). Thanks Karlo for a couple of truly magical tours. They made our holiday extremely special and we are forever grateful x
Great tour! Guide was amazing and creative, group small and cheerful and food so as drink was unique! I recommend it to all!
Dear Andelo, Thank you for finding the time to write such a great review :) It was truly a wonderful day spent in the company of great foodies. Hope to see you soon! Wishing you all the best. Kind regards, Karlo from Bespoke Croatia
What an absolutely wonderful day we had on this tour! After meeting Karlo and our other two group members at the designated place and time we enjoyed fresh tasty pastries before embarking on a comprehensive tour of the highlights of Zagreb with Karlo providing an overview of the Croatian and Zagreb history and culture. The tour was very well paced with regular stops at shops and market stalls to sample Croatian specialities including pastries, cured meats, cheeses, breads, olive oils, truffles, wines, liqueurs etc. Karlo explained the making processes and areas from which the products originated. The day was topped off with a leisurely lunch at a restaurant in the old town with many locals present. There was an abundance of tasty dishes and sparking wine to enjoy. Karlo obviously loves his job and is passionate about his city and country. He was very personable with a fun sense of humour. The tour was varied covering historical, government and leisure areas and activities. We saw and learnt so much. Especially impressive was his communication via WhatsApp from the time our booking was made. He also sent us recommendations for other restaurants and activities for Zagreb and places we are yet to visit as he said he would after the tour. There is no better way to learn about a place than through the eyes of a local! Thanks Karlo from Bespoke Tours!
Dear Brenda! Wow! What an amazing review. You really put a lot of effort in describing what we did how much you enjoyed the tour. Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to spend the time in your company. Hopefully we will meet again. Wishing you and Brenda all the best! Kind regards, Karlo from Bespoke Croatia
I loved this tour so much! Karlo was an excellent guide, providing history, insights, and an amazing overview to beautiful Zagreb. I would even use some of the information on this tour later during my trip. The food along this tour was delectable and all of the local food vendors we met up with were so friendly and welcoming. Karlo was also nice enough to give me some great recommendations for food for the rest of my trip and they were spot on. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Zagreb.
