Nestled in the heart of the Paarl Valley, Fairview is renowned for its award-winning wines, artisanal cheeses, and warm hospitality. The farm has a rich history that dates back to the late 17th century, when the farm was granted to the first settler, a French Huguenot named Charles Back. Originally known as Bloemkoolfontein, the farm was later renamed Fairview due to its stunning views and surrounding landscape. Today, the farm is still owned by the Back family. As you step onto the estate, you will be greeted by sweeping vineyard views and the charming Cape Dutch Architecture that characterizes the region. Guest can also indulge in a cheese pairing experience, where the estate's delicious cheeses are expertly matched with the perfect wine to enhance the flavors of both

Our spontaneously booked half-day tour to Stellenbosch was a complete success. Our guide Cotlint was awesome. During our trip, she told us quite a bit about the history of winemaking in South Africa and shared information with us about life in Cape Town from up close. Thanks to her, the car ride from Cape Town to Stellenbosch flew by. The two wineries were also impressive, with a very good selection of wines paired with small snacks in the form of cheese or jerky. For us, a must-have on a trip to Cape Town 😊

Leticia was a fantastic guide who shared her first hand knowledge about Cape Town and about the wine region we visited. She was enthusiastic and has a real love for what she does - and it shows! We had a wonderful half day tour of Stellenbosch. Our guide Cotlint was amazing. She kept us entertained in the car by giving us a lot of information about South Africa. The first winery we stopped at had great wine and cheese (and goats!). The second winery had an incredible view, good wine, tasty jerky, and a vegetarian option for those who don’t eat meat. We were able to walk around the second winery and get great pictures. Following the wine, we had a nice ride through the town of Stellenbosch while Cotlint played us music. The energy was high throughout the tour and that is all thanks to Cotlint. Highly recommend this tour. Dankie Cotlint!
