Good day trip

The temperature dropped near the ocean, so the layer of clothing helped. Pena Palace is colorful and unique inside and out. It’s a full-day commitment, but everything ran smoothly from morning pickup to the afternoon return.

Saved us a lot of walking up steep hills

Sintra has very steep roads, so being dropped right near the spots was a huge relief. The driver was polite, drove safely, and gave us space to explore on our own when we reached each town. A very practical way to visit three different spots in one day.

Much easier than dealing with local trains

We didn't want to deal with train schedules or finding taxis between Sintra and Cascais, so this made sense for us. The vehicle was clean and cold. We had enough freedom at each stop without feeling pushed to move fast.

This was one of my favorite days of our trip! Many different locations and free time! The towns were so beautiful and different and our guide, Natasha was wonderful and a wealth of knowledge. Must do!!!

Operator response

Thank you for this — I'm really happy the day earned a spot among your favorites. That mix of towns, each with its own character, plus enough free time to just wander a bit, is exactly the balance we aim for on that route. I'll pass your kind words along to the team as well. Thank you again, and I hope Portugal calls you back before too long. Rui

Start to Finish a Wonderful Experience

Natacha is one of the best tour guides we have ever had, and we have taken many tours over the years. Her knowledge, friendly personality, and welcoming manner were exactly what our family needed while traveling with our children. As a local, Natacha truly knows her stuff. She shared fascinating insights and details throughout the day that brought each stop to life and made the experience even more meaningful. She was patient, engaging, and wonderful with our kids, making everyone in our family feel comfortable and included. We would highly recommend this full-day tour to anyone visiting the area—but if you have the opportunity, be sure to request Natacha. She made an already fantastic tour absolutely unforgettable.

Operator response

Dear Family, Thank you so much for this wonderful review — it truly made our day! It means the world to us to hear that your guide made your family feel so welcome and that her knowledge brought each stop to life. Traveling with children can be a challenge, and knowing everyone felt included and at ease is exactly what we strive for. We will make sure she knows how much your kind words mean — she absolutely deserves it. We hope to welcome your family back to Portugal one day! Warm regards, Rui

Great experience

John was an excellent tour guide. Very informative. He gave us plenty of time at each stop.

Operator response

Thank you, Lisa — really glad the day felt balanced and unhurried. Sintra, Roca, and Cascais each deserve their own moment, and it's always good to hear that the pace allowed for that. Hope Portugal left a good impression. Rui

Marta gave us a warmhearted tour with lots of personal attention. It’s the details that matter on a tour like this, and Marta was great.

Operator response

Thank you, William — couldn't agree more. The details are everything. Glad Sintra, Roca, and Cascais felt personal and unhurried. Hope Portugal stays with you. Rui

Sintra and Cascais shouldn’t be missed!

This full day private tour was beyond our expectations! Our guide, Marta, was personable, funny, and very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and more specifically, about the sights we saw. She brought us to quaint little shops that helped make the trip even more special. Would highly recommend!

Operator response

Thank you, Angela — Sintra, Roca, and Cascais pack a lot into one day, and we're glad it all felt special rather than rushed. Those quieter little stops along the way are often what people remember most. Hope Portugal is firmly on the list for a return visit. Rui

Great full day tour, highly recommended!

We had a really wonderful day, despite the rainy weather. Our guide, Rui, was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. His car was roomy and very comfortable. He took care of all the tickets and was very familiar with everywhere we visited, providing interesting history and stories as we moved from location to location. He also knew the best spots for photos, so we ended up with some fantastic photos as memories. We enjoyed a delicious pastry break in the morning, and he dropped us off for lunch at a wonderful restaurant for lunch where we appeared to be the only tourists (exactly the kind of place you want to enjoy lunch, imho!). The weather was very challenging, but he managed to show us some beautiful seaside spots before the end of the day. Highly highly recommended!

Operator response

Thank you, Margot — a rainy day in Sintra has its own kind of atmosphere, and I'm glad we managed to make the most of it. Those quieter restaurants where you feel like a local rather than a tourist are always worth the detour, and the coast has a certain drama to it when the weather is moody. Really glad the day worked out well despite it all. Hope Portugal calls you back on a sunnier occasion — though honestly, It is allways great :) Rui

So great we booked again second day on the spot!

Such a great tour, we booked again for the next day! Everything was unbelievably perfect. The logistics were superb-easy pickup at our hotel, great communication, perfect van. All the details were handled. Our guide, Marta, had coordinated beforehand and made lunch reservations and had everything handled. But, hands down, the highlight was our guide herself, Marta! She was an absolute joy-friendly, knowledgeable, perfect English, and just an overall great person. I’d say we all became friends after our two days together. (And we really did book her for a trip to Fatima the next day on the spot. We had such a great time with her, we were ecstatic to spend the next day as well!) Can’t recommend this tour enough! It was perfect!!

Operator response

Thank you — booking a second day on the spot is about the finest compliment a tour can receive. Sintra, Roca, and Cascais is already a full day, and then heading to Fátima the next morning — that's Portugal done properly. Glad the logistics felt effortless and that everything came together the way it should. Hope to welcome you back for a third day one day. Rui
