Shuttle from Cuenca to Guayaquil or from Guayaquil to Cuenca

Diego, our tour guide was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about Ecuador. He was friendly and easy to talk with. We learned so much! He was very respectful and caring. Stopped for photos whenever we wanted. He has excellent English and had a great deal of interesting information to share. We really enjoyed our time with him. He was also an excellent driver... greatly appreciated on steep mountain roads. We have visited over 40 countries and he is one of the best tour guides we have ever had!

Andres was an amazing guide!!! He taught me a lot about Ecuador and shared his passion for bird watching with me. We stopped at three different locations on the drive from Guayaquil to Cuenca and it was neat to see the different sizes, colors, and behaviors of the birds at all locations. This was my first time going bird watching and Andres taught me some tips to make sure I had an excellent experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this as an awesome way to explore Ecuador while en transit. We had lunch at a great local place. After the tour, Andres sent me information about the birds we saw and some of the great photos he was able to take of them. Sadly, my old phone doesn’t have the greatest camera.

Diego, was an excellent tour guide! He took us sightseeing along the way and passed by the beautiful national park in Cajas. He had wonderful recommendations on food and was a pleasure talking to. Will definitely ask for him next time!

Had a great time with Maria in our tour. We walked along Cajas at our own pace and there was plenty of time to stop for pictures. After Cajas and Três Cruces we stopped on the way to Guayaquil in a small cacao plantation where a nice old lady showed us around and also made cocoa paste for us to taste. Highly recommend it.

My wife and I really like mountains and this tour has totally exceeded our expectations! The Andes are so beautiful and Cajas National Park is amazing with a very unique ecosystem. Big thanks to our extremely knowledgeable tour guide! He had answers to every single question that we had. He was very attentive and helpful when it came to us dealing with the altitude sickness.

Booked a private tour with Edison at Polylepis Tours. My customized tour included; ½ day at Parque Nacional Cajas walking the trails of Laguna Llaviucu and Toreadora Recreation area; a stop at a Tamarindo neighborhood street fruit market, a visit with a private family finca to learn about Cacao and last but not least a transfer to Guayaquil. 1st stop was Laguna Llaviucu, spent an hour walking around the entire lake. It was a scenic easy walk. 2nd stop Toreadora Recreation Area. There was a 36 F degree difference between the lower Laguna Llaviucu and the upper Toreadora Recreation Area. The hike was as good as it was going to get in chilly 43 F degrees with rain. Got quite a few pictures of interesting plants and flowers. The visit with Senora E at the finca was interesting. Got an up close and personal demo of Cacao from pod to roasting and could taste test each step. I think today was a personal record of how many different temperatures can you experience in a single day. By the time I was dropped off in Guayaquil it was 88 F degrees with a feels like of 93 F. This was my 2nd tour with Edison and it gets another 10/10 for customer service and guide services.

We enjoyed our trip from Cuenca to Guayaquil with Eddie. He is knowledgeable about the area, and is happy to share information, stories, and his good sense of humor. He speaks English, has a nice car, and is a good driver. He was happy to stop whenever we spotted a photo opportunity — including stopping to see the free-range llamas in Cajas National Park. All in all, it was an enjoyable ride — good company and good conversation.

This tour and drive was awesome! Edison was so fun, accommodating and knowledgeable. He took us to some great places on foot in the cit, and the drive to Guayaquil was very comfortable in his nice car, and he stopped many times for us to take photos. He’s a super nice guy and my friend and I had a fantastic day with him!
