Vesuvius is an active volcano in continental Europe as well as one of the most studied and dangerous in the world due to the high population and its explosive characteristics, the highest peak is 1,281 meters. You can reach the crater with a 20/25 minute climbing walk. The crater entrance includes an internal volcano guide. (2h) Pompeii is a vast archaeological site. Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried under meters of ash and pumice from the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The site is constantly evolving thanks to the continuous excavations that offer new discoveries every year, a professional guide is highly recommended to be able to visit it in detail in relaxation in its most important structures. The guide is on request and will help you to skip the long lines at the ticket office and is not included in the tour price (2/3) .Lastly Herculaneum, buried under a blanket of ashes, lapilli and Vesuvius mud (1 / 2h).

Andrea took us from Napoli Centrale to our hotel in Amalfi, and kept our exhaustion at bay with friendly conversation, local tips, and pointing out interesting landmarks. The next morning, Vincenzo picked us up right from our hotel and took us over the hills for a packed day of Pompeii, Vesuvius, and Herculano. He took care of booking our guide in Pompeii- Marinella was very knowledgeable, and we learned quite a bit while touring the ancient ruins. We got more than we bargained for with Vincenzo’s expert local recommendations for restaurants, desserts, and more. The drive time flew by with our entertaining conversations! Superb day visiting three iconic locations.... Pompei, Versuvious and Herculeum......cikkected bang on time each location and dropped off perfectly... Was a very hot day, but our driver Fabio Lianza kept us well watered and even bought us fruit at the end of the day to refresh us..... Perfect....
