Enjoy a pick up from Porto Grande, we will be waiting for you at the exit/entry gate (about a 5+ minute walk from ship); meet your local guide who will be waiting for your arrival. GUARANTEED to return to your ship on time!
The lookout to Mindelo. Take a drive up to the old fort and see the most specular views of our beautiful bay city of Mindelo.
See our artists display their pieces at our magnificent cultural center. Exhibits are updated often, this is where lots of important events are held.
Visit the Bronze Statue of Diogo Alfonso - Witness the daily lifestyle of the people of Mindelo - this is a hub spot of the city
Lifestyle of Cabo Verde, Fisher men and women, coming in from the sea with a variety of beautiful fish
Take a walk through the city where you will get a sense of the Islands lifestyle; visit the Cultural Center to observe the current talent on display, your guide will walk you through the bustling markets of Mindelo; Fish, Municipal (vegetable / fruits) and African* (Closed on Sundays).

Drive to the highest point of our Island, Monte Verde, 774m or 2,539ft, have breathtaking panoramic views, enjoy a cup of tea (grown locally) or try the tea liquor at the Tea House
Visit the lively fishing villages of São Vicente. Be in touch with locals. Beautiful beaches and villages where you can find local people, places to stop for lunch/dinner/drinks
Have a swim or dive off of the trampolim into the clear blue lagoon at the beach of Baia das Gatas - Beautiful enclosed bay of blue/green water, with amazing views of the coast.
Drive along the stunning coastal road of North Baia / Praia Grande, the coastline here is sweeping of majestic white sand dunes and black volcanic mountains, with gorgeous changing blue waters. NOTE: Excluded on Half Day, 4 h
Head to our fishing village of Calhau also home of Volcano Viana. visit the agricultural Valley of Calhau this Oasis in the desert is where we will see and smell our Islands Traditional Farming activities, vegetation, animals, water wells, and old iron windmills fill Return to Mindelo after a fantastic day of exploring the Best of São Vicente! Very disappointing, we were dropped off the Cruise Ship, the port was worrying, lots of stray dogs and not so hospitable locals. We’ve traveled to many places , this island is not one I would return to.

Very well organised, very informative, Danny, our guide was good and answered all questions and interacted with us. Also good host at lunch. Driver was also very good, we felt safe on the windy, hilly roads.

Our guide met us near the cruise ship which was great. It was a fantastic small group tour around the island. We had plenty of time at each stop and beat the crowd. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Our tour guide, Raphael, did an excellent job of sharing his island. We enjoyed the walking tour of Mindelo to learn history and how the people live. The drive up to the peak on a hand built road was interesting, as was the trip to a lovely beach! The local lunch he arranged was very tasty!
