Seville: Rooftop Paella Showcooking and Sangría

Our chef Maria was very knowledgeable in Spanish cuisine. She shared tips for cooking the paella. The wines presented for the tasting were fabulous. A true great selection. The rooftop dinner was fantastic.

The experience was average. It is made out to sound a lot better than it actually is. It is very basic and although the experience lists unlimited drinks, this is not the case. When we asked for a drink to have with our meal, we were told that they are only available during the cooking show however we were never offered a drink during the show. It also felt rushed and that the host had a lot on their plate doing multiple experiences at the same time. We are still waiting on the recipe we were promised. Probably won’t book again.

We went to the Seville La Terraza del Cristina Paella Showcooking with my wife and had the best time! The paella was absolutely amazing, and the sangria was just as good. The views from the rooftop were also incredible and made the whole experience even more special. Our host, Eyrian, was the highlight of the experience. She was so much fun, incredibly friendly, and did a fantastic job explaining the whole paella-making process. It was also a really intimate experience, as there was only one other person with us. We all got along so well and had lots of fun together, which made the experience feel really personal and enjoyable. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough to anyone visiting Seville. Great food, amazing views, and an even better host! 🇪🇸🥘🍷

We had a fantastic time at this experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We were greeted right on time at the meeting point by the chef, who made us feel very welcome. We were then shown to a cosy kitchen workstation, where a selection of olives, cheeses, and cured meats was waiting for us to enjoy while we watched the demonstration. There was just one other couple attending, which made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and interactive. The chef was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining each step of the paella-making process and sharing the history and traditions behind this iconic Spanish dish. It was both interesting and entertaining. After the demonstration, we enjoyed the freshly cooked paella on a lovely rooftop terrace, accompanied by delicious sangria. It was the perfect way to finish the experience. If you’re looking for an authentic, enjoyable, and memorable food experience, this is definitely worth doing!

Do not book this experience before coming to Seville and seeing the meeting place. We got sent to the wrong location by google maps, by the time we found the meeting point there was no one there and no answer from any of the contact numbers. We were left standing and so we did not get the experience and we have not received any apology and no refund. If you are visiting, the risk of not being at the right place on time is too great. Book something else instead.

Entertaining and informative! We had a great time and the paella, sangria and dessert were excellent. Our chef and his assistant were very easy to understand and made for a great time! The only problem is finding the location. They need a sign of some type so that you at least know that you are in the correct place. Other than no sign we had a great time!!!

Unfortunately, the information on the tour was not quite correct. Initially, the cooking class took place inside. The pictures on the course description suggest that it is taking place outside. The second is that we have booked unlimited drinks, but in reality this is not. After helping ourselves to the fridge for the second time, we already got the request that we should not empty the entire fridge, which is perhaps a quarter full. After the show we came to the terrace. There, the drinks were no longer included... only during the show. There is no logic behind this. Plates were not cleared even after an hour's stay at the table. We had booked another “champagne package”, which was booked from a glass of champagne for an extra charge of 15€. But also just one glass. So definitely not worth it All in all, the cooking class was quite informative but the whole thing around it was inadequate. Therefore I would not recommend it

We had a wonderful time learning how to make proper authentic paella. The snacks and drinks were lovely too but the paella was the star of the show. There were 5 of us in total and it was a lovely number to really be able to ask as many questions as you wanted. We took our children who loved it too.
