Just completed the food tour with Rui. Exceeded expectations and the food was delicious. Loved trying the traditional local dishes and in particular the sardine and cod. Rui was entertaining and knowledgable and we really enjoyed the history. thank you Rui
Thank you for your review! We’re glad the tour provided an enjoyable and informative part of your visit. We hope there’s another opportunity to welcome you to Secret Food Tours.
The tour was fabulous with food being a gateway to the history and culture of Lisbon and Portugal. The guides, Antonio and Jorge (I hope I'm spelling Jorge's name correctly) were knowledgeable and friendly and their English was excellent. The food was terrific too. Loved it when Antonio would pull out a map and show us where the food came from and why the characteristics of that part of Portugal made the food taste the way it does. The only bad thing is that the guides walked rather fast sometimes and it was sometimes hard to keep up. But they stopped frequently so we could catch a breath.
It was lovely meeting you! We hope the food, neighborhood, and conversations gave you a more personal feel for the city. Thank you for choosing Secret Food Tours.
We flew into Lisbon the night before and wanted to get a quick lay of the land. Anthony and George were both passionate and knowledgeable about the rich history of Lisbon whilst also indulging in some amazing food and wine. 100% would recommend to all!!

Tony with Secret Food Tours Belem was great! He provided great background knowledge on Belem while getting to know everyone in the group (we are fellow King Gizzard fans). On top of that the food was great and dishes I would have never thought to try. Would recommend!

We love to do food tours when we’re in new cities and this one was truly spectacular. We met our guide, Marta, in Belém and she was so warm and welcoming. She is so proud of being from Lisbon and it showed. From the canned fish to the pastries the food was excellent and Marta was amazing. She designed the tour herself and put so much thought into each stop to give us a taste of everything from street food to finer dining. Even my picky dad enjoyed the food! We will be back to Lisbon to take the other tour option soon.

Informative history lesson to go with the food selection. Antonio was very knowledgeable. Plenty of food to cover a whole meal. One place I didn't find on Google maps, others we wouldn't have known to stop at.
Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We're so glad Antonio's history lessons paired perfectly with a generous selection of food, and that the tour led you to spots you'd never have found on your own. We hope Secret Food Tours gets to kick off another trip for you soon.
