Amazing Puerto Rican Food and Culture Tour

This was an amazing and informative tour! Our tour guide, Pablo, was extremely knowledgeable and did a wonderful job sharing the history, culture, and cuisine of Puerto Rico. The food choices were a wonderful reflection of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, with an occasional modern twist. The chicken yucca mofongo with garlic sauce was absolutely amazing and definitely a highlight of the tour. I also appreciated that accommodations were made for food allergies and non-alcoholic preferences, which made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about Puerto Rican culture while enjoying incredible food.

Renewed Cultural Pride– Old San Juan Food & History Experience

From the very first moment, Nico brought Old San Juan’s history to life. Her passion, energy, and depth of knowledge made every story feel vibrant and every street feel meaningful. I learned so much—far more than I expected—and each new detail helped me reconnect with Puerto Rico in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Although I was born on the island, my life has mostly followed the American, English‑speaking experience. This tour gave me the chance to rediscover the cultural richness I didn’t grow up immersed in, and it was genuinely moving. And the food—absolutely phenomenal. The four venues we visited were outstanding, each offering flavors and dishes I might never have encountered on my own. Nico set the tone from the beginning: warm, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful, especially when it came to accommodating dietary restrictions. Working in the food and beverage industry in Washington, DC—a city that takes its cuisine seriously—I was blown away by how intentional, curated, and authentic each stop felt. You could taste the pride and culture in every bite and sip. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. If you want to truly experience Puerto Rico—its people, its flavors, its history—this is the perfect way to do it. It’s fun, immersive, and the kind of experience that stays with you long after it’s over.

A Decent Trip

Our hostess/guide was fantastic! The food was just ok. The person that I was with did not eat pork and the chicken options were not to his liking.

Great Food Tour in Old San Juan!

As a solo traveler, I had a fantastic time on this food tour. Lorna was an amazing guide—dynamic, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. She made everyone feel welcome and even made sure we all had safe transportation to get back afterward. The food was absolutely delicious, and there was much more than I expected! My biggest tip is to have only a very light breakfast because you'll be eating a lot throughout the tour. If you want to experience authentic Puerto Rican food while learning about the history and culture of Old San Juan, I highly recommend this tour. It's definitely worth it!

Great experience!

This was a great experience. Lorna was our tour guide- she was very knowledgeable and shared a history of PR and the origins of the food we ate. It was so much food - too much but it was all delicious. Highly recommend to anyone that has never been to PR before and wants to learn about the local cuisine.
