We had a wonderful walking tour with Jonathan. He was extremely informative and knowledgeable of the local history. We ate many delicious sweets and by the second to final stop, I couldn’t put anything in my belly I was so full!

Jonathan was kind, knowledgeable and a lot of fun too. We made six stops and we needed to be rolled home in our sugar comas. If you want something a little different, this is great.

Fantastic experience top to bottom. We came to Savannah for the history and the food, not the ghosts, so this was perfect for us. We got to sample some truly fantastic local sweets while marveling at the architecture and historical landmarks. The length was perfect, not too long but long enough to not feel guilty about the calories, tolerable even on a hot July day in the middle of a heatwave. The group was small enough that we could easily stay together and hear the guide, and everyone quickly felt comfortable chatting with each other well -- bonding over beignets. Our guide, Marcia, was friendly, charismatic, knowledgeable, accessible, and inviting; we truly enjoyed her perspective and historical expertise as well as the insider tips on restaurants and shops to check out around town. There is more to Savannah than pirates and ghost tours, and we learned so much about the personality of Savannah and its heritage! Definitely the right choice for us and would fully recommend to all our book-loving, history-loving, food-loving friends! And if you really, really want ghost stories too, they do an after dark version with ghosts.
Thank you for joining us in Savannah! Marcia says 👋 We’re so happy her warmth, stories, and local tips helped you experience the Hostess City through history, architecture, and sweet treats — no ghosts required. Bonding over beignets is our kind of group activity. We hope to host you again in Savannah or any of our donut holes around the world!

On this tour, we learned about the history of Savannah while sampling all sorts of donuts along the way. It was blazing hot outside, but our guide Jonathan came prepared with bottled waters for all of us and strategically inserted air conditioned stops into the route. We got to try beignets, cookies, candies, donuts, and more at about five or six culinary destinations. Sprinkled in were stops at the various Savannah squares and some history lessons. We also took a trolley tour on this trip and preferred Jonathan’s tour style over the trolley. Just be aware that this is about 75-90 minutes of walking, with periodic stops to sit or cool off indoors along the way. Recommend for adults and kids alike.
