Itinerary

15 min

8:30am or 9am. Your local guide will meet you either at your hotel or in front of Sapa Stone Church. Once you've met, your guide will give you a brief introduction to the day's itinerary, including the places you'll visit, the activities you'll experience, and a few helpful tips before you set off.

120 min

After a short introduction, your local guide will lead you out of the busy town of Sapa along peaceful trails through a bamboo forest to a traditional Hmong village. Cross the Muong Hoa suspension bridge and continue hiking uphill, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Vietnam's most spectacular rice terraces and the majestic Hoang Lien Mountain range. The trail then descends into Y Linh Ho Village, where you'll visit local Hmong homes and experience everyday village life. You'll have the chance to see traditional houses, learn about local cooking, watch the traditional indigo dyeing process and handmade weaving, and gain a genuine insight into Hmong culture. Finally, enjoy a delicious lunch at a small family-run restaurant serving authentic local cuisine.

120 min

After lunch in Y Linh Ho Village, continue your trek to Lao Chai, home to the Black Hmong people, before reaching Ta Van Village, where the Giay ethnic group lives. In Lao Chai, you'll have the opportunity to watch local artisans demonstrate traditional indigo dyeing, weaving, and the ancient art of batik using beeswax. If you'd like, you can even try creating your own batik pattern under the guidance of the artisans. Along the way, your local guide will explain the unique traditions, customs, and lifestyles of the Black Hmong and Giay people, giving you a deeper understanding of their culture through first-hand experiences. At the end of the trek, a bus will take you back to your hotel in Sapa.

45 min

After these unforgettable experiences, you'll arrive at Ta Van Bridge, beside the peaceful Muong Hoa Stream, where your return vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Sapa town or your hotel. As your journey comes to an end, you'll leave with beautiful photos of breathtaking rice terraces, traditional villages, wooden houses, and stunning mountain landscapes. More importantly, you'll take home inspiring stories of the local people—their traditions, resilience, and way of life. These meaningful memories will stay with you long after your visit, offering a fresh perspective and lasting inspiration for both your work and everyday life.
