Our tour guide Domingo was the best. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Santo Domingo. He treats you like family. Would recommend this tour 100%.
The beach is very pretty but with too many people, mainly locals; the area where they serve lunch is not pleasant, chairs and tables that are not in good condition, the infrastructure of the place feels neglected, there are several small places where they sell food, the excursion includes lunch at one of these, whole fish. The excursion to the Three Eyes is very pretty, however the guide was going a bit fast, the Columbus Lighthouse is interesting. The guide made an effort to explain and attend well to each of the participants.
Domingo was amazing! He was very detailed and gave us all of the highlights while driving. He was so kind - helped us even exchange money, stopped to get drinks etc. highly recommend this excursion. Pro tip: take cash (pesos) and water as well as sneakers to go in the caves. You can then switch your shoes out to sandals at the beach. You don’t need water shoes… Boca chica beach is majestic and there aren’t any rocks that you’ll encounter.
It was an interesting experience a first time traveler to the Dominican Republic the tour guide Domingo was very knowledgeable and concerned about our well being while being safe and secure
Domingo our guide is the best!, 100% recommended, my boyfriend and I had a great experience and made a great friend. Thank you for answering all our questions, telling us about history, the island's customs, and a little bit of everything, thank you for taking us to such beautiful places, showing us how beautiful Santo Domingo is, and taking photos of us 🤭, for giving us advice and tips to enjoy our trip even more. It was incredible, we would definitely do it again, we felt super safe, and Domingo is a guide full of knowledge. The food was also super delicious and the beach very beautiful. Thank you very much Domingo !!!! 🤗
Informational guide and quality tour
Very good tour, the attention from our guide Domingo was excellent, the places were very pretty, and the food on the beach was delicious Highly recommended
Domingo of Santo Domingo is the genuine thing. An excellent tour guide truly warm and ready to help, explain and take you through the tour with great humor and patience. I’ve been to so many tours and he’s the rare type who enjoys his job, looks out for his guests and treats them well and by name! Pick up was on time and personable, ride was comfortable. Domingo guided us through the entire tour with great stories and details. We made it to the cenotes right before the crowds came in. The Lighthouse set the tone for how the day would go—smoothly and without stress. And yes, Boca Chica is crazy busy. So the warnings on how to deal with vendors was appreciated. The water was clean and very swimmable. So glad we only had six people in the tour and there was enough space for everyone. Lunch of fried fish was also quite good. For this price with a good lunch annd hotel pick ups and drop off I’d say it’s an excellent deal. Overall a great experience and I hope they value Domingo because he made all the difference.
Wonderful experience. Tres ojos was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life! The guide he speaks great English and he is very likable. The beach was stunning, the lighthouse for us was OK. The FOOD! That lunch was absolutely delicious! Warning ⚠️ the cave is a LOT of steps (worth it) but also quite slippery, wear proper shoes, I wore water shoes and that made it frustrating.
The tour guide is great, accommodating & very knowledgeable. He gave me a wealth if information about the tour sites and other useful tips. He looks to really enjoy his work. 1. Going to the Faro Colon monument is interesting just to hear details about it, but like visiting most monuments anywhere - you can take it or leave it. It is not the most aesthetic building to look at, either. (FYI - DR likes to believe that there are remains of Columbus at the monument. This is still under debate. DNA tests have confirmed the remains in Spain. The DR government will not allow DNA analysis so... draw your own conclusions!) 2. FYI - there are a lot of steep stairs at 3 Ojos otherwise a FANTASTIC natural phenomenon to see. Am amazed that it is not included among World Natural Wonders. In some places, like taking a peek at Paradise! I won't say more...do the tour and get the info from the guide - wink, wink! 3. The Boca Chica beach is very picturesque & safe for kids...super shallow for serious swimming but just possible in some places. Delicious local food & very authentic local ambience. Not a tourist beach. ( I saw the complaints about vendors etc but seriously...not a big deal. You just say you're not interested; they go away. This is a part of the local culture & going to the beach. I have been to no beach anywhere that there are no vendors. Even at EU beaches! People should just stay at an All-Inclusive & never leave if they cannot deal with this.) I had a very good day & a fabulous time! Totally recommend this tour.
