The Triton will splash by the USS Midway, which is an aircraft carrier, formerly of the United States Navy, the lead ship of her class. Commissioned 8 days after the end of World War II, Midway was the largest ship in the world until 1955, as well as the first U.S. aircraft carrier too big to transit the Panama Canal. She operated for 47 years, during which time she saw action in the Vietnam War and served as the Persian Gulf flagship in 1991's Operation Desert Storm. Decommissioned in 1992, she is now a museum ship at the USS Midway Museum, in San Diego, California, and is the only remaining inactive U.S. aircraft carrier that is not an Essex-class aircraft carrier.

The Maritime Museum of San Diego, established in 1948, preserves one of the largest collections of historic sea vessels in the United States. Located on the San Diego Bay, the centerpiece of the museum's collection is the Star of India, an 1863 iron bark. The museum maintains the MacMullen Library and Research Archives aboard the 1898 ferryboat Berkeley. The museum also publishes the quarterly peer-reviewed journal Mains'l Haul: A Journal of Pacific Maritime History.

Awesome

It was a fun way to spend 2 1/2 hours. Great specialty cocktails at a really fair price. The crew was super friendly. Lots of fun get there early if you want to sit in a covered area if not, there was plenty of seating for everyone.

Cool, but expensive

The crew was great. Kind of expensive for a short ride around the harbor with a lot of people. There were too many people on it with not enough places to sit

There was less tour information than expected but we also had more fun than expected and the live guitarist was a treat! Bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Show up early for the front beanbag seats.

Great first time experience!

First time on this catamaran and we loved it. It was on time; the crew were super friendly; the boat was clean. The crew went around and cleaned after people constantly. There was live music and it was great fun. People danced and sang along to favorite tunes. Would love to do it again sometime.

Great experience!

I got a great deal as an add on with Airbnb. My husband and teenager and I are from AZ. It was fun, great music, friendly crew. Bring food, as it’s 2.5 hours. Get in line about 45 minutes early, as there was already a line at 5:30. I got seating in the shade which was great since I had a sunburn. Only negatives were a couple of overly intoxicated people and the fact that you really don’t see the city lit up because you dock before dark. Not blaming anyone for that!
