Spend 8-hours exploring the central part of Crete with two different plateaus, mythology, and lots of fun and interesting informations about Crete and the local life. Taste local products and enjoy a tradional lunch accompanied with wine and bottled water.

The park of Greek mythology is located in the village of Psychro in the Municipality of Lassithi Plateau. Near the Dikteo Cave, which according to the Myth Zeus was born, God of the ancient Greeks. Includes topics related to the tradition of Greek mythology, Minoan civilization and rural life of Crete.
In the village square of Krasi, there are three plane trees, the trademarks of the village. The most important of them is the platan in the center of the square, which is considered to be the oldest and most majestic of the plane trees in Crete.
Passing through the biggest forest on the island, where the roads are non-existent, and the mountains reach a height of 1.500 meters, there will be a refreshment stop at a local kafenion.
In Kritsa, which is a traditional lower mountain village, you get to have a little walk to see the local craft shops and you have time for a refreshment stop.

We went on a daytime safari from about 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, on the Katharo road in eastern Crete with several stops in villages as well as in the highlands. It was very beautiful! There were 7 of us, French and Dutch. The guide was attentive to our well-being and allowed us to have a wonderful day. Thanks to him!

If you want to experience a piece of authentic Greece join this tour. Visit to local entrepreneurs such as olive oil, goat farm. Cheers with jamaz between the goats. Great food and beautiful nature. And best of all our Dutch guide Ruud1, nice stories and he will give you a nice day. So if you are in Crete then I really recommend this tour.

We had the Mountains of Crete off-road tour with lunch at a tavern. Our guide Thomas was truly great. With his humor, his knowledge about Crete and the Cretans in general, he made the day perfect for us. Whether it was the treats in the mountain villages, the musical accompaniment of the off-road tour :D, the delicious lunch at the tavern, or the visit to the mountain farmer with his goats. It was a unique experience that you should definitely try out. Thank you, Thomas!

What an amazing incredible experience we had going up the mountains with our tour guide English Chris so knowledgeable! And taught us so much on our journey ! When me and my family got back to hotel we all said what an amazing day we had ! A great trip to start the holiday to learn about Crete and history of Crete and sampling local produce and seeing the goats at top of mountain were incredible views were breathtaking! I can highly recommend this trip to anyone and please put request in for English Chris as he played a massive part in the day being so amazing !he’s a credit to safari crete and we can’t wait to come back soon and book another trip when we’re back in Crete!!!! We had a wonderful tour yesterday with our tour guide Geoff. We drove through some amazing scenery on the island of Crete. We visited an olive oil factory and had a nice traditional Greek lunch. We also had some scenic stops along the way. Geoff was very knowledgeable of the island and shared a lot of the culture, history and agriculture. He also had a great sense of humor. He treated our group to a wonderful day. Best tour since we have been here.

This is the second time that we have done this trip. Gary is a great guide. He had lots of local knowledge and we learned some new facts about some of the local customs. The views were spectacular and the meal was excellent. We will certainly do this trip again on our next trip.
