Road to Hana experience
Lisa was hands down the best tour guide we have ever had. Full of energy from the start, she immediately treated us like ohana—her "kids." Throughout the tour, she shared incredible stories about Maui, the history of the island's unique trees, and local lore that kept everyone completely engaged.
The culinary highlights were unforgettable: we tasted fresh strawberry guava straight off the tree, sampled different varieties of bananas, enjoyed local banana bread, and tasted chocolate straight from the field. It was obvious in everything she did that she genuinely wanted us to experience the very best of Maui.
Lisa told us at the beginning of the tour that we were a family now, and we better act like it! She had a wonderful way of bringing everyone together to share and connect, and by the end of the day, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye to both her and our new friends. An absolute must-do experience!.

Group of 22 family and friends
Our tour was absolutely amazing! We were split between two vans for my group of 22 and everybody had an absolutely amazing time! Our drivers/tour guides were absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable! Jason and Malu-amazing job pleasing 22 friends and family members! It’s a very long day, but you guys made it pass by so smoothly! Top-notch tour company! I’m sending more family there next month and I’m requesting these drivers for sure!

Very disappointed
The tour was canceled 10 hours in advance, supposedly the transport was broken, we had to improvise and book something new. So be careful!!

Not a great tour with Christopher with aloha sunshine tours
Would have loved a better guide who talked more and gave more history and information. Also lunch was a soggy sandwich only and it wasn’t very good. We threw about half of it away and ate some crackers we brought. Then like 45 minutes later in the van he gave us chips and a cookie. Would have been nice to have that with lunch and not while driving a winding road. Personally eating like that makes me car sick. So just brought back with us. Also texting us the day before with a specific dollar amount for gratitudes was just tacky.

Road trip to Hana is finally off my bucket list
You will make several stops so bathroom breaks are available. There will be food stands that promote the Hawaiian culture. You will want to take lots of pictures so have plenty of charge on your devices. Its okay to get wet you'll have time to dry. It was better to leave the roads to the professionals so you can enjoy the ride. Water shoes were better than sandals.

Great scenery but very long day.
The sights and scenery were wonderful, and guide, Jason was exceptional as a native of Maui. He even provided info after the trip where we could save considerable funds on food and drink vs our resort prices.
My critique is that it was a quite crowded bus, and it ended up being a very long 13 hour day, since the guide/driver had to drive about 3 + hours picking up and dropping off passengers before and after the tour at 5 hotels spread across the island. Not very efficient.
