Rio in One Day Private Tour with Christ the Redeemer by Train

Good, prepared, kind, and helpful guide. He planned the tour well to avoid lines at all the stops.

The service is not good. On the platform, we booked for a specific time because we had another activity, but when we contacted them, they told us it wasn’t possible at that time and that we had to wait for more people to book the tour. In the end, to be able to do the activity, we had to buy an additional ticket to complete the group and receive the service. They didn’t give us headphones, they didn’t explain the tour, and overall it’s not recommended.

The tour was excellent, exactly as advertised. Our guide Dario was professional, knowledge and on the ball. Plus a lovely man to spend the day with.

Small and personal and at a good pace. Everyone was friendly. Take sunscreen. It’s very hot!!!!!!!!!

Throughly enjoyed “Rio in a Day” tour. Got to check off my bucket list items all at once. I had a fabulous guide, who was very knowledgeable and fun. I’m glad I was in her hands all day. Take this tour, it’s fabulous.

Yes, I gave five stars but can not recommend it at all. The service was excellent, the guide good and the driver very safe but... I recommend you do Christ the Redeemer one morning, sugarloaf mountain another morning, and please, just do the other sites on your own. The full day tour leaves you trampled with masses at one of the two main sites and the other venues is just fodder to fill the day. Lunch? No, just no. It is a disastrous affair of glutinous tourists in a loud restaurant. We ended up rather paying for our own lunch but eating at a local restaurant. The train is not a pleasant experience either. I truly recommend a morning tour by van. The train too, is an affair of rushing to wait in line, being shoved by staff and guests alike and feeling like cattle to the slaughtered. No, just no!!

Our private guide, Dario, was absolutely fabulous. His knowledge of Rio de Janeiro history, architecture, natural beauty and culture are exceptional. He quickly understood our interests (3 women from Australia) and showed us those places including what was already scheduled. Nothing was rushed. Dario was extremely helpful and a pleasure to be with. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful day. Bruno shifted the schedule based on weather and we were able to see the highlights. Excellent day!

Dario was a great guide. Very informative. Impressed on how he could engage people in different languages. He truly enjoyed his job. Spectacular views of the city and beaches.

We were extremely punctual and our guide Luis was able to set off with us 10 minutes earlier, which turned out to be very advantageous, as we arrived everywhere just before the big tour buses. We got a comprehensive overview of Rio de Janeiro that day. Luis knew a lot about the history without just listing dates, but he also talked a lot about the interpersonal relationships between Brazilians in the north and south. The friendly driver with a clean car was always there on time to pick us up again. Luís spoke very good German (he lived in Germany for several years) and was very flexible, so we spent our lunch break not in a normal buffet restaurant but in a small, typical beach restaurant on the Copacabana. Conclusion: Great day, highly recommended!
