Redwoods Altitude is designed to showcase even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest. From 25 metres up, you will be guided on an exhilarating journey along 25 Indiana Jones style jungle bridges! Using a continuous safety system, our professional guides will lead you around the 650 metre loop, ensuring your safety and comfort. Join us as we share local knowledge and stories about the Redwood Forest history, native flora and fauna and Māori legends. Please allow 2-hours for the entire Altitude experience. Plus, entry to our new Redwoods Altitude eco-cave.

Itinerary
Altitude guests will enjoy a 2-hour guided adventure in Rotorua's Redwoods forest. Starting at the Altitude hanger, you'll gear up and take a short walk to the training area, where guides will brief you on equipment use. Then, you’ll embark on a journey along jungle bridges and zip lines, safely connected to a continuous safety system. The adventure ends with an optional controlled descent, followed by a walk back to the hanger. Next to the Treewalk is where our new Redwoods Glowworms eco-cave is located. This experience is fully guided and takes approx. 10 mins to complete.

- Minimum height, approximately 140 cm.
- 30 kg minimum weight, 120 kg maximum weight.
- Children aged 8-12 years must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years and older.
- Youths aged 13-15 years can participate without adult supervision, but a guardian must complete the disclaimer on their behalf.
- Long hair and loose items must be secured.
- Closed toe footwear only.
- Adventure activities involve an element of personal responsibility and risk.
- Altitude includes suspended walkways, bridges, ziplines, and belays operating at heights of up to 30 metres.
- Risks may include uneven terrain, moving bridges and platforms, slips, trips, falls from height, vertigo, suspension trauma, equipment failure, injury, or in rare cases, serious harm or death.
- Natural hazards such as high winds, lightning, earthquakes, landslides, and volcanic events are also possible.
- While Redwoods Altitude operates under a comprehensive safety management plan and takes all practical steps to provide the safest possible experience, risk cannot be completely eliminated and personal safety cannot be absolutely guaranteed.
- No smoking, eating or drinking.
- If a participant shows signs of intoxication, they will not be allowed on the tour.
- All participants must be able to understand and follow instructions.
- All participants to wear appropriate clothing for weather i.e. rain jacket for wet days, warm jacket for cold days.
- Participants must be between 30 kg and 120 kg.
- Must be in good health, without high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, dizziness or other conditions that may be aggravated by the adventure.

Tamaya and Maddie were excellent guides when I was doing the walk, zipline and the last part, the jump. I love how they’re very reassuring even though I was nervous throughout the walk. I enjoyed everything about it. 2 hours of this was worth it

Our family of four had an absolute blast on the Redwoods Altitude experience. It was exhilarating and beautiful and will not be forgotten. Our guides, Eden and Tenaya, were experienced, fun, kind, helpful, cheerful - just all-around awesome. In addition to their quality work connected to the Altitude adventure, they shared so much about the local area, giving us ideas of other things to do and places to see. We definitely recommend this as something to do for the adventurous.

Cool high ropes course, secured throughout with a steel cable. Our small group was guided very professionally and with a lot of humor by two charming young ladies. The bridges and zip lines are set up at a height of approx. 25m; anyone who has trouble with heights should better look for something else. The course is kid-friendly from a certain height because the safety line is overhead. It was a very fun thing and highly recommended. A huge thank you to the two guides Chloe and Maddy
