Best animal farm...

Best animal farm experience we’ve ever done. The weather was beautiful, their working dog Kim was amazing and the views were stunning!

Good experience

Friendly staff and very friendly animals. The working dogs do a great job at rounding up the sheep and entertaining everyone.

Lovely Lake Cruise & Farm Tour Better in Warmer Months

We really enjoyed the TSS cruise! The scenery on Lake Wakatipu was absolutely stunning. The afternoon tea was delicious with a good variety of cakes. The farm tour was well organised, but I wouldn’t recommend visiting in winter. There weren’t many animals out, and the experience wasn’t as enjoyable as it would be in the warmer months. Overall, the cruise and afternoon tea were definitely the highlights of the trip!

Disappointing tour

We were really looking forward to this trip with our 9- and 12-year-old kids. While the farm was beautiful, a few things were disappointing. First, about 50 people were on the farm tour, and we were taken around as one large group. At many stops there were only 2–3 animals for the entire group to feed. It felt like far too many people for the number of animals, and breaking everyone into smaller groups would have made the experience much more enjoyable. Second, all of the promotional materials, including the brochure, website, and even the boarding pass, prominently feature a Highland cow. This was one of the main reasons we booked the tour. However, during our visit the Highland cattle were not accessible. We could only see them from a distance. Both of my kids were very disappointed, and I felt the marketing materials were misleading. The afternoon tea was decent but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the long lines caused by the large group size also took away from the experience.

Farm tour and the lunch...

Farm tour and the lunch provided was great, good range of animals to see, beautiful place and nice boat. Only improvement would be if they reduced the number of bookings on the boat, it felt overcrowded, not enough seats or room to move around.

A winters day at Walter Peak amongst the ever so friendly farm animals.

It was a stunningly beautiful winters day travelling across the lake was beautiful . The farm animals were great to see and to interact with .The tour around the farm was informative and fun to do. The afternoon tea was plentiful well presented and set in a lovely location. The opportunity to purchase some interesting things in the cafe was a bonus. The merchandise available was well priced and offered good variety. Unfortunately the steamer Earnslaw was out for servicing this was not made known to us at the time of booking and we only found out when we arrived. This was disappointing as we were looking forward to going on the old steamer.

Favourite Queenstown tour!

Absolutely love this tour. This is our second time visiting the farm. It has the most beautiful scenery and the staff are so friendly and informative. My children always ask a million questions and the guides happily oblige. The afternoon tea is excellent and the view from the dining area is incredible.
