Jorge was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable about the city. Totally polite the whole time. Absolutely a great introduction to the city and the perfect start to my weekend. 5/5 in all categories!!!
We had the most wonderful guide in Antonie. He was so knowledgeable and made the tour memorable and really special.
Alex was our tour guide, and he provided us with a fantastic experience. It certainly helped that Alex was getting his PhD at the local university and that he was from Guanajuato. We learned an incredible amount about the culture, history, and what’s going on today. The stop at the Cervantes library was the highlight of the tour. Alex answered all our questions with patience and generosity. We highly recommend asking that Alex be your tour guide. You’ll be pleased and leave Guanajuato with a greater appreciation of the city, its culture and people.
Amazing experience! Get ready to climb the hills up and down, but it will all totally worth it! Not only our tour guide was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable but the organizing company went above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of by arranging the place for us to store out luggage and being highly communicative.
Our walking tour of Guanajuato with Susana was fantastic and gave us such a deeper appreciation for the city. Guanajuato is honestly one of the most interesting places I’ve visited — the history, architecture, and engineering of the city are incredible — and I would have missed so much if I had simply wandered around on my own. Susana is a local with extensive knowledge of the city, and she shared the history and stories behind what we were seeing in a way that changed how we saw the city. The tour gave us a much richer understanding of how Guanajuato developed and why it feels so unique. We also learned that she offers hiking and birdwatching tours, and if I had another day in Guanajuato — which I truly wish I did — I would absolutely have booked one of those experiences with her as well. Highly recommend.
My husband and I really enjoyed our private walking tour of Guanajuato with our guide Susana. Susana was very knowledgeable and personable with an obvious pride in her hometown of Guanajuato. She clearly explained to us the history and sites of this beautiful, lively and colourful city. We would definitely hire Susana again if we return to Guanajuato. We highly recommend her and this tour.
The tour in Guanajuato with Susana has been exceptional. Not only does he have an almost encyclopedic knowledge about the city, but, more importantly, he conveys his passion for the city. It's not only about the places we walk, and his recommendations of restaurants, bookstores, ... but also that he made me live a tradition (that of the Holy Cross) that would have gone unnoticed, if it had not been for her I think I adapt the gut, as I got to know more about myself and my interests. A great guide. Not only recommended, but also essential.
This tour absolutely lives up to its 5-star rating. Susanna was warm, funny, and very knowledgeable about every topic we had questions on. She knew a number of people we crossed paths with—family members and friends of hers—and pointed out spots in the town of significance to her own family history, which was a special touch. She had clearly done original research on the town and showed us historical photos and prints of important people and events. Highly recommended!
Andres did a terrific job of showing me around the city. He highlighted all the main attractions that I have revisited several times in my one month stay here in Guanajuato City. He was born here and he's worked around the world and speaks very clear English. He tailored the tour to my interests. Highly recommend this tour at the beginning of your stay.
Susana is a delightful tour guide. She tailored our tour to our interests (history, culture, and local life) and showed us areas that we had not yet seen. She made the city come alive for us.
