And yes, we don't stop at the main monuments of the city, as we show that authentic face of the city, that less "touristy" neighbourhoods, that path outside the main directions, as if that wasn't enough! We love to share what it is to be Farense(Faro citizen). We aim to entertain the customer, while teaching the many stories of Faro and its origins.
Come and discover the city like no other, meet us by the harbour's garden (jardim Manuel Bivar). We start by showing you the old town stoping in the main points of interest we will tell you everything we know about the city and how it came to be.
We go to the highest point of Faro, st.Anthony chapel we stop and climb to the top of the old watchtower to enjoy the best view in town. 360º
On the way back to downtown we pass in front of the iconic barroque church of Carmo (bone chapel). After we return to the same place we began the tour.

Joao is amazing. He knows the city so well and knows how to explain the Portuguese history in a highly engaging and informative way. Would definitely recommend; probably the best guide and service I’ve ever received, lots of fun and great value for money!
Have done several TukTuk tours, because we really enjoy them, great way to see lots of a place, with minimal effort! They aren't cheap, [ unless four of you in one vehicle, as price is per vehicle, not per person,] but you're paying for the comfort, information you receive, and convenience. We were taken all round the old town of Faro and given a lot of interesting information, then in to the new part and to the beach, which we had considered walking to, but realised it was definitely too far to go on foot! Normally we would be on and off the vehicle, throughout the trip, but on this occasion, we only got off, at the beach, as we couldn't really see it from the car parking area. It was a lovely one and a half hour excursion, [you can do a one hour one, which doesn't go to the beach]. The guide spoke perfect English and was full of knowledge, plus happy to answer any "strange" questions we threw at her! Would recommend, especially if you are older, or struggle to walk far, or you want to save time researching information.
Had a wonderful time! Learned about the city with a quick tour of the history of the city and area. Highly recommend if you are tight on time.

Excellent trip from the harbour area to the highest point of Faro and a wealth of history in between. We had a very enjoyable and informative tour through the old and new and really get a sense of the city. This is not just a drive around tour - there a also a few stops were João shows specific aspects of history - of which he has a clear passion for, and also a superb view to "top" it off [ you'll know when you go]. We had the most amazing tuk-tuk city tour of Faro with João. He has incredible knowledge of Faro and history (I’d say he was passionate about it and it showed) and we had some great conversations.
