Have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture at El Mercado del Valle and learn about life in the heart of El Valle. You will explore El Valle de Anton's highlights, including its inactive volcano, considered to be one of the few inhabited volcanic calderas in the world.
Along Cerro Cariguana, your guide will share fascinating facts about its geology and history, and you will encounter an array of plants, trees, animal life and learn about numerous bird species.
As you embark on your e-bike journey, you will pass through The Main Avenue of El Valle de Antón, which is the central hub of the town. It is home to most of the shops, restaurants, and tourist activities. The Main Avenue is a place of interest where you can find the "Mercado de Artesanías." Several restaurants offer typical Panamanian dishes along with international cuisine. The Main Avenue is famous for its artistic community. You can visit several art galleries showcasing works by local artists. If you want a memento of your visit, souvenir shops selling T-shirts, magnets, and other items related to El Valle de Antón are also available. El Parque Central is a green space near Main Avenue, with trees, benches, and a playground. It's popular for picnics, relaxation, and walks. The iconic "Iglesia San José de El Valle" church is also located near the Main Avenue. It is an essential place for the local community and often hosts religious and cultural events.
The e-bike tour is a scenic ride that takes you around the caldera of El Valle de Antón, covering an area of 32 square kilometers, with specific stops at notable locations. In addition to the main road, the route passes through all the alternative paths that surround the caldera. Along the way, we make various stops to admire the region's rich biodiversity, flora, and fauna. Our guide also shares the history of one of the oldest houses in El Valle. During the stops, which can last from 5-10 minutes, you can observe the different types of ecosystems that surround the caldera, including the tropical dry forest and the tropical rainforest. We pause for observation to identify different species that inhabit the region.

We took a bike tour with Jakob throught Valle de Anton. We would highly recommend this. Jakob was very knowledgable and we learned about present day Valle as well as the history. We have gone back to some of the places he showed us or pointed out. The bikes were in very good condition as well. Don't miss this one.
Excellent biking tour. Carlos was fabulous and taught us about the local geology, people and history. We biked and hiked to a beautiful waterfall. Equipment was top of line and gloves, glasses, helmet, and water were included. Thank you!!
Great experience. He shows you around the entire area, gives you local and historical information, and is very forthcoming if you have questions. The biking is interspersed with a couple of off bike experiences which only add to the entire thing. I highly recommend this.
The guided tour was amazing – our guide shared so much history about the valley, making the experience truly enriching. The weather was perfect, the service very professional, and spending the weekend here with friends made it unforgettable. Super recommended!
Worthless, we went from side to side from one attraction to another at a snail's pace that we barely fell over. Been to all the attractions and then was asked if we wanted to enter, only you have to pay entrance everywhere. Even for a picture of the Piedra Pintada we would have to pay entrance and now I read that it would be included in the price. We have been inside at the butterfly garden, and cycled 4x over the av los millonairos. But I booked a bike ride and no other viewing. After 1.5 hours we were back, without having had any info or knowing anything more about El Valle de Antón... so $100 in the pit

Our multi generational family had a great time. Our tour guide, Carlos, was very knowledgeable and flexible in his approach given the varied ages, capabilities, and needs. Bikes were in good shape and they gave you everything you needed for a successful tour.

Fantastic intro to the area! First time on e-bikes for most of our group and they were very easy to use.
Carlos was a great guide on our first ebikes experience, tailoring our trip to our interests and skill level. At the stops and as we drove all over town and up in the hills he provided a good commentary that covered a broad spectrum of natural and cultural knowledge. Even a stop for a great craft beer at the end. The mechanics at this woman owned business custom fit the well maintained - looked practically brand new - bikes to our builds. This was one of the highlights of our Panama trip.
