Micaela was a highlight of our trip to Stresa - she met us close to our rental and arranged for a beautiful private boat charter to take us to the islands. Her narration of Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori enhanced our time there and truly gave us the background to appreciate the history and culture of this wonderful area. Thanks so much!

Micaela was a wonderful host—warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the Borromean Islands. She knew an impressive amount about the gardens, Italian culture, architecture, and art, but never overwhelmed us with information. A rare rainstorm added some drama to the day, and Marcela and the captain handled it beautifully. She even drove us back to our hotel afterward. Micaela is terrific. You will like her and love the experience.
This was one of the best tours we took during our trip to Italy. Micaela is the most knowledgeable guides I have ever met. She is a subject matter expert (SME) when it comes to the Borromean islands and the Lake Maggiore area itself. She answered questions about different plants and trees, history of the islands, and current facts about the Borromean family. She knew everything including dates of when things occurred on the islands, what family members assumed various positions like property ownership, clergy, and the armed services, and even what fish are caught in the lake. Overall, Micaela couldn't have done a better job than she did. Take this trip with her before doing any other tours on or around the lake
Micaela gives you the keys to understand the history and the setting of this beautiful spot of Italy. She pointed out the significant sights and realisations, gave then historical contexts and thus enriched our experience. Also, with Micaela's vast knowledge and experience we were able to focus on less trampled spots which made our visit some much more enjoyable. Our advice is to start your holiday with Micaela so that you reap additional benefits for your later visits. Well done Micaela!

This was our third visit to Stresa, we love it so much. On each occasion Micaela has been our guide and Alessandro our lake taxi service. It wouldn't be the same without them, we now consider them top friends. As well as great company Micaela's knowledge of the area is extensive and delivered in perfect English with humour. Isola Bella a must along with Isola Dei Pescatori for lunch all organised by Micaela made for a perfect day (again!). If you have time Isola Madre and Villa Toranto well worth a visit - particularly if you like your gardens. Micaela is particularly knowledgeable about flora and fauna!

Excellent in-depth tour of 3 islands and a wonderful recommendation for lunch on the 2nd island. From details to the art and the gardens Micaela was a wonderful guide. I have a bad knee so a bit slowed but never felt rushed. We took the private boat option which is a huge time saver and allowed for much more time on the islands as well.
