We had an absolutely wonderful private tour of Rhodes with our guide, Stelios, and couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience this beautiful island. From beginning to end, Stelios was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and seemed to anticipate what we wanted to do or see before we even had to ask. That level of personal attention made the entire day feel effortless, relaxed, and truly customized for us. Our first stop was the Acropolis of Lindos, which was an incredible way to begin the day. Lindos is absolutely beautiful, with its traditional whitewashed buildings climbing the hillside beneath the ancient Acropolis. The views of the turquoise bays, beaches, and coastline surrounding Lindos are breathtaking. The combination of ancient history, dramatic cliffs, whitewashed village streets, and crystal-clear water made this one of the most impressive sights of our entire visit to Rhodes. From there, we visited Seven Springs (Epta Piges), a small little adventure, peaceful and beautiful area surrounded by trees and natural scenery. It was a refreshing change of pace and a wonderful opportunity to see the quieter, greener side of Rhodes. We also visited the Valley of the Butterflies, which was another beautiful stop. The shaded valley and natural surroundings were wonderful, but an unexpected highlight was eating there as well. We enjoyed delicious, traditional Greek food that felt authentic rather than overly touristy, and the prices were very reasonable. It was a great meal and a perfect addition to the experience. One of our favorite and most unexpected stops of the day was a quaint little local shop, where we were able to feed the deer watermelon and sample local honey and fresh bread. This was exactly the type of experience that makes a private tour so memorable. It wasn’t simply another tourist attraction—it was a charming, authentic stop that gave us a taste of local Rhodes and ended up being one of those little experiences we will remember from the trip. We finished our day exploring Rhodes Old Town, which was spectacular. Walking through the medieval streets, seeing the massive historic walls and beautiful architecture, and wandering through the shops and narrow alleyways truly felt like stepping back in time. It was the perfect way to finish our tour. What really made the entire experience exceptional, though, was Stelios. He did so much more than simply drive us from one attraction to another. He understood what we were interested in, adjusted the day accordingly, made excellent suggestions, and frequently anticipated our next request before we even asked. We never felt rushed, yet somehow managed to experience an incredible amount of Rhodes in a single day. From the Acropolis of Lindos and its breathtaking bays, to Seven Springs, the Butterfly Valley and a delicious traditional Greek meal, feeding the deer and tasting local honey and bread, and finally exploring medieval Rhodes Old Town, this tour gave us the perfect combination of history, scenery, nature, food, culture, and authentic local experiences. If you are visiting Rhodes—especially if you have only one day from a cruise—we highly recommend booking a private island tour with Stelios. Having someone who knows the island and genuinely pays attention to what his guests want makes all the difference. An unforgettable day in Rhodes, an outstanding guide, and easily one of the highlights of our trip. Stelios gets five stars from us without hesitation! 🇬🇷
