Taha our driver looked after us incredibly well. He was attentive and friendly and we were pleased to see his smiley face as our driver on further trips. As for the felucca ride, not quite what I was expecting. I had grand ideas of peacefully sailing done the Nile at sunset taking in nature and the views. Bit naive of me as felucca’s obviously rely on wind and current and in reality we were towed by motor boat for a short while and ended up at anchor about 150 metres from where we started next to a hotel building site. The two young gentlemen who were our hosts worked hard to entertain us and it was great to chat to them about their schooling etc. Just wasn’t what I had hoped for and next time would look to book a boat trip with a motor.
