The convent of San Juan de los Reyes is a monastery in the Spanish city of Toledo belonging to the Franciscan Order, which was built under the patronage of Queen Isabella I of Castile with the intention of turning it into a royal mausoleum, in commemoration of the battle de Toro and the birth of Prince Juan. It is one of the most valuable examples of the Elizabethan Gothic style and the most important building erected by the Catholic Monarchs.
Santa María la Blanca is a temple located in the Spanish city of Toledo. Built in 1180 as a synagogue and having functioned as such for 211 years.
The Sephardic Museum, attached to the Synagogue of El Tránsito, shows historical, religious and customs aspects of the Jewish past in Spain, as well as of the Sephardim, the descendants of the Jews who lived in the Iberian Peninsula until 1492.
In the heart of the Toledo Jewish quarter we can enjoy a house that shows the Jewish way of life in the 14th-15th centuries
Inside this medieval church we will contemplate the masterpiece of Domenico Theotocopoulos (El Greco). The burial of the Lord of Orgaz
In this marzipan workshop from 1856 we will taste the most typical sweet of the city
We will access an underground to see a medieval well belonging to a convent of the order of the Trinitarians

This was by far one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. Enrique gave a comprehensive tour of Toledo inside and out. It stated with incredible views of Toledo from outside the city. We then entered the city and the Jewish Quarter where Enrique provided an in-depth history of Toledo and the Jewish Quarter while talking us into some beautiful historical buildings and synagogues while showing us incredible artifacts. He also took us into a basement to open to the general public where Jews sought refuge to pray. I cannot say enough how phenomenal Enrique was as a tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough as well as kind-hearted. When my daughter was cold he took off his jacket and gave it to her. I highly recommend this tour and you MUST ask for Enrique!

I highly recommend this tour! We went to Toledo with no idea of what to expect, but our guide Alejandro gave us an incredible tour through the old city. He grew up in Toledo and knew the city so well that we learned much more than we expected. He also knew when the tourist crowds would hit various spots so he tailored it so it felt like we had a private tour of the city. What an amazing tour, Enrique was just excellent. He lives and was born in Toledo, and clearly knows the town, the people and the history. He met us at the train, had a cab take us to the city overlook, and then to the back gate/entrance. He spent a good 3+ hours with us, at our pace, what a wonderful experience. Highly recommend! We were prepared as it was raining off and on, but great experience.
