Itinerary
Osaka Castle is one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks, originally built in the late 16th century by the powerful warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi to symbolize the unification of Japan. Surrounded by massive stone walls, moats, and beautiful seasonal gardens, the castle offers a stunning view of both history and nature. The current structure is a modern reconstruction from 1931 with a museum inside, showcasing samurai armor, historical artifacts, and interactive exhibits about Hideyoshi’s life and the castle’s dramatic past. From the top floor, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Osaka city—especially beautiful during cherry blossom or autumn maple seasons.
Standing tall at 300 meters, Abeno Harukas is Japan’s highest skyscraper and a symbol of modern Osaka. From the top-floor observation deck, the city unfolds beneath you—especially magical at sunset. Inside, you’ll find elegant shops, fine dining, and even an art museum, making it a perfect mix of culture, style, and unforgettable views.
Sumiyoshi Taisha is one of Japan’s oldest and most important Shinto shrines, founded in the 3rd century—long before Buddhism arrived in the country. It’s famous for its unique “Sumiyoshi-zukuri” architecture, which features a straight, clean design with bright vermilion colors and no Chinese influence, making it a rare example of purely Japanese style.
Shinsekai , which means "New World," is a vibrant and nostalgic district in Osaka, Japan. Developed in the early 20th century, it was designed with inspirations from Paris and New York, featuring iconic landmarks like Tsutenkaku Tower, often called the “ Eiffel Tower of Osaka.” The area is famous for its retro atmosphere, bustling streets filled with colorful neon signs, and a lively mix of old-school charm and modern energy.
Kuromon Ichiba Market is a bustling, lively market in the heart of Osaka, often called "Osaka’s kitchen." This historic market stretches over 580 meters and has been serving locals and visitors for over 190 years. It’s famous for its fresh, high-quality seafood, seasonal fruits, vegetables, and a wide variety of other local delicacies.
Dotonbori is one of Osaka’s most famous and vibrant entertainment districts, known for its dazzling neon lights, giant animated signboards, and energetic atmosphere. Running along the Dotonbori Canal, this area is packed with restaurants, bars, shops, and theaters, making it a hotspot for nightlife and food lovers alike.
The Umeda Sky Building is one of Osaka’s most recognizable landmarks, featuring two modern towers connected at the top. It offers spectacular panoramic views of the city and is a popular spot for visitors to admire Osaka’s skyline, especially at sunset and nighttime.
The Shitennō-ji is one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples, founded in 593 by Prince Shōtoku. Located in the Tennoji area, it is famous for its traditional architecture, peaceful gardens, and historic five-story pagoda. It remains an important spiritual and cultural landmark in Osaka.

Khalid was excellent. He was punctual meeting us at our hotel and then gave us other available options in case we wanted to change the itinerary. Otherwise, his itinerary was excellent showing us a variety of places around Osaka. He was well informed about the places he took us, giving us hidden insight. He was also very patient with us and our children as we made our decisions. We highly recommend taking a tour with him.
Thank you so much marineide.
Take this tour! Khaled is knowledgeable, kind hearted, accommodating and truly a five star guide. He has led hundreds of tours on other platforms so has limited reviews on his own but do not let that deter you from using a top tier Osaka guide. I would send my friends to him and use him again myself at the drop of a hat.
thank you david and hope to see you again
We had a wonderful tour with our fantastic guide Kalid El Barraq. His love of Japan's people, history and culture came through so clearly in the interesting and captivating way he showed off Osaka to us who were visiting Japan for the very first time. We were so impressed that Kalid had gone to school for 6 years to learn the language of his adopted country. We had so much fun seeing the charming places in Osaka with Khalid who was very thoughtful and attentive to the needs of 3 senior ladies. I asked him if I could adopt him as my grandson! In future visits to Osaka I will definitely ask for Kalid to be our guide again! Thank you my dear Kalid. It really was a pleasure to meet you.
Thank you Suzanne Diana and bettey. Hope to see you again here in Japan
