Pasion is a Monteverde-based small tour company, offering a variety of “package deals” not just in Monteverde but throughout Costa Rica. They did an excellent job for us with all details, including travel arrangements and lodging. The naturalist they provided for the Cloud Forest was superb. Although we signed up for a package deal at Arenal (in addition to our time at Monteverde), they were very flexible in accommodating our individual requests, and gave us daily e-mail updates on any details. Very personable, and bilingual. Highly recommended.

There are too many wonderful things to say about Pasion Costa Rica. My contacts were Susu and Royner and I don’t think this trip would have been nearly as special and smooth without these 2. You want a birthday cake delivered to the hotel the day you arrive? No problem. Cake is delivered. You accidentally scheduled the wrong pick up time from your hotel and will miss your tour? No problem. Pickup time is rebooked. Your tour is 1 spot short to accept your family? No problem. Somehow there’s room. Everything I mentioned that I would like to do, was possible and booked without issue. Susu even answered questions that I didn’t think to ask! Thank you so so so much for one of the most memorable trips I have taken! Pura Vida!

Marcos is the ultimate guide. Totally catered to our interests. Less expensive than if we were to pay individually on a group tour. Unbeatable.

We had and excellent experience with Marcus. We had a bird watching tour and he was very knowledgeable about, not only the birds, but the local plants and animals as well. He picked us up at our hotel and was right on time. His English is impeccable and he was happy to tailor the morning to accommodate our wishes. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Pasion Costa Rica.

We had a fantastic 3 full days in Monteverde with the help of Pasión. First of all, they helped us choose the right mix of activities. We did: Santa Elena Cloud Forest, Curi Cancha and El Tigre (we also did a night walk and Selvatura on our own). Booking of activities with transportation was seamless and communication was quick and efficient. We had a small group tour in Santa Elena which ended up being private - it was very good despite the downpour. The most exceptional tour was our private tour of Curi Cancha with Marcos. We are very new to birding and he took the time to teach us how to use binoculars, make a bird list, etc. We saw so many beautiful birds and learned so much. He truly helped us and many others find the queztal on that day.

Marvin was a great guide for our family, helping us find coati, hummingbirds, quetzal and many other bird species. The 7:30 tour was great, beating the crowd that showed up shortly after.

Private tours well worth the cost. Marcos personally provided transfer then led our family on an excellent tour of the Monteverde Reserve, sharing so much of his enthusiasm for both the plants and animals. He also expertly helped find an excellent viewing of the Quetzal. He was so good I booked a second morning birding tour where based on our experience the first morning he so thoughtfully crafted a different experience.

We had an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide, Marcos, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the cloud forest. We saw a variety of creatures and learned a tremendous amount about the forest. Thank you so much!
