We chose this guided outing because the description said the list of things that could be done and that it was à la carte for 8 to 10 hours. After a few minutes drive, the guide tells us that it is not possible to make the itinerary we have chosen. indeed for him there are 2 circuits but we can not mix between the two. That is not what was written in the description. After discussion, it is finally possible to do both tours at the same time for an additional cash cost of $150 lowered to 17,000 yen. We chose this guided tour because the description listed the possible activities and stated it was customizable and would last 8 to 10 hours. After a few minutes on the road, the guide told us it wasn't possible to do the itinerary we had chosen. He explained that there were two separate circuits, but we couldn't combine them. This wasn't what was stated in the description. After some discussion, it was finally possible to do both circuits simultaneously for an additional fee of $150, reduced to 17,000 yen and payable in cash.
Our guide lied to us. He told us Mt. Fuji was closed. We found out after our guide dropped us off at the end of the day (only after he asked us to give him a 5 star review and screen shot it to him before letting us out of the car) that STATION 5 WASN’T CLOSED!. In fact, other tourists were taken there by different tour drivers that day. Words cannot describe how we feel. We paid for a private tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone. If the guide didn’t want to do this, why did he take the assignment? He took us to areas where we could view Mt. Fuji ( one site had us walking up MANY Steps passed a Pagoda while our guide waited for us below). He provided limited, if any, information about the “replacement locations “ he chose to take us but THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT for Mt. Fuji! He took advantage of us. He called us his family. We are writing this so that the next travelers do not experience what we did. We hope the actions of this guide do not reflect the actions of other guides in your employ.

Very good driver and guide, very patient and efficient fabulous day since the sun was out and we could admire Mount Fuji for several hours and from several places, plus the old shrine at the start of the pilgrimage track
