Itinerary
Pick up from listed hotels' lobby or at the Istanbul Galata port terminal with your name sign. Meeting time will be given during confirmation. Drive to Old city. Our first stop will be Hippodrome Square where used to take place for chariot races and the Byzantine riots during Roman & Byzantine period.
Our second Stop is Blue Mosque, has its fame from its beautiful blue Iznik tiles.
Only a short walk away, reaches Hagia Sophia built in 532 AD by Roman Emperor Justinian I. and Blue Mosque, has its fame from its beautiful blue Iznik tiles. Update for St. Sophia interior visit : Live guiding is not allowed in St. Sophia after the 15th January 2024. Guests have to have their smart phones and headphones during their visit. If guests do not have a headphone, they can buy at the entrance at the cost of 3,5-USD The system is similar to audio guide system. Guests who does not have smart phones will follow the signs and the given informations on the signs . ( Not allowed the guiding inside St. Sophia anymore. Every guests have to have own smart phones inside of St. Sophia . Application will be used inside )
We will continue walking to Topkapi Palace, was not only the residence of the Ottoman sultans, but also the administrative and educational center of the state. It was constructed between 1460 and 1478 by Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople. We will visit the Topkapi Palace including weapons section.
After lunch break ( not included ) we will visit Grand Bazaar where is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with more than 58 covered streets and over 1,200 shops which attract between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily. Opened in 1461, it is well known for its jewelry, pottery, spice, and carpet shops. Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays. St. Sophia will be visited on Sundays. Drive or walk back to the port or to our hotel. . The end of our services.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship such as churches, monasteries, mosques, synagogues and selected museums. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. Shoes are not to be worn in mosques. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- In the event of any museum closures, an alternative similar museum will be visited. On Tuesdays : Topkapi Palace replaced by Underground Cistern, On Sundays: Grand Bazaar will be replaced by Spice Market. Grand Bazaar on religious holidays will be replaced by Arasta Bazaar. On Fridays: Blue Mosque is open from 15.00 to 17.30

Tayfun was very knowledgeable and informative of all that we visited, Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia, and Grand Bazaar. What we weren't interested in seeing, he didn't push and let us go about our tour on our own rythme. Would recommend This tour and our guide.

A great tour highlighting many of the beautiful sights of Istanbul. Our tour guide Emel was fabulous! On this walking tour she provided us with a lot of the history and cultural significance to the area. She provided a fabulous recommendation for beautiful and delicious dining experience and was a wonderful guide through the various markets.

Layla was a good tour guide, knowledgeable. She arrived at the hotel on time and we were taken to all the tourist spots on our list. Our only disappointment was that we did not get to spend more time at the grand bazar…..Leila should have organized our time better. We spent way too much time over lunch which minimized our time at the bazar.

It was an amazing tour. Our guide (Typhoon ?) was perfect. Super knowledgeable and knew how to strategically optimize our time. Lots of walking and learned so much history. Highly recommend.

If I could give 6 star I would give that. Evren was fenomenal both in competence as well in creativity to avoid duplications with places we saw in the previous couple of days and adjusting our schedule and itinerary accordingly. Granted we were lucky to be the only customers in this group I want to underline the professionalism to still carry on what expected even if with a group of just 2 customers but I would still highly recommend this tour as one of the most value for the money (includes tickets for museums and palaces or transportation). Top notch.
