Private Ketchikan Halibut and Salmon Fishing Charter

Such a fun day. Justin was a great host, fisherman and all around great guy. He made a great day greater!

We had a gorgeous day on the water and we caught 9 salmon, which they are shipping home. The boat was very nice and our guide, Kevin, was very experienced. I would highly recommend!

Justin was a great fishing guide! The fishing was slower but he traveled all over to help us catch fish. Loved the stories, he needs to write a book!

We had 6 people but only 2 active rods in the water at any one time . We took turns and had an amazing day but this fell short Of my expectations .

Justin was awesome! Boat was great. Salmon fishing was great! We steadily caught fish ending up with 12 catches in 4 hour tour. Each of the 4 kids caught several. Captain was personable and funny and professional. Better than fishing booked directly through cruise line. Communication was great. Met right off ship and taken directly to boat. Afterwards he offered to dropped us off right next to restaurant he recommended for lunch- which was delicious and short walk back to boat. Highlight experience!

Amazing experience! Justin was our guide and was so much fun. We went halibut and salmon fishing and caught both, along with some rock fish. Easy to walk off the cruise ship and walk with Justin to his boat and on the water fishing right away. He made sure we were back so there was no stress time wise with the ship, and he’s making sure our catch is processed and shipped to us when we get back home. I’m sure all the captains are great in this group but if you want someone who is knowledgeable, patient, teaching, hilarious, gets you on fish and is an overall amazing captain then I would suggest requesting Justin!

This was the best fishing charter I have ever been on. So convenient, professional and fun. We caught a lot of fish and had a great time. Our guide Kevin was great.

In the six hours, we were taken out to a popular spot with 24 other boats to fish for salmon for three hours, only reeling in one pink salmon. As we only had a captain, my husband had to be first mate quite frequently. Without a first mate our lines were often occupied with smaller fish being pulled behind or our bait was gone totally. The second half of our tour was in a different spot where there were only four other boats fishing for halibut, but all we caught were dogfish and one very small halibut we had to throw back. The upside of this was that we did see one pod of Dall’s porpoises. My husband and I were quite disappointed by our lack of catch, given the price of renting an entire boat to ourselves. If given the chance we’d wait and go out with a boat in Seward, Alaska rather than in Ketchikan.

Great experience. We caught lots of fish including king salmon. Captain found all the greatest spots to fish. Highly recommend this experience to everyone.

Captain Justin took great care of us. We were a party of 5, including our 6 year old son. I was a little concerned it works be too long for him, but he had a great time. We stayed warm in spite of the rain. The captain taught us a lot about the fishing industry and kept us engaged for the whole 6 hours. It was a great shared experience for our family!
