Our guide will come to your hotel in the Old Quarter to pick you up. A short briefing before we start.
On a 3 hours walking tour you’ll explore the culture, history of Hanoi, step into a world full of street food vendors. Unlike big cities all around the world, street food in Hanoi are not just hot dog carts and pretzel stands, we offer an opportunity to try out 10 different dishes at local food stand, family restaurants… A rotating menu from day-to-day to represent the variety of delicious options, but tastings might include – but are subject to change: rice noodle soup with beef, rice noodle with chicken, rice noodle with grilled pork, snail, or dry noodle, sticky rice, along with various kinds of donuts, steamed pancake or Vietnamese sandwiches.
In the end, we will take you to the original cafe to try the outstanding egg coffee of Hanoi.
Time to say goodbye! Our guide will take you back to your hotel or show you way to walk around and enjoy the peaceful of Hanoi.

Long overdue review but my private street food tour with Bob as my guide was a great experience and well worth the money. I'm familiar with Vietnam and Vietnamese street food but I wanted the personal experience in a new city. Bob spoke perfect english, was very professional and knowledgeable, tailored the tour to my food preferences, took me to out of the way places that I would never be able to find and I never felt rushed the entire time. He also sent me a recap PDF of the food we tried and gave recommendations for places for me to try. If you are ever in Hanoi and want to experience Vietnamese street food, don't hesitate to book with tour group and make sure you request Bob!
We were picked up from our hotel by our guide Mai Mai. She has excellent English and was friendly and informative. We are a family of 6 and the vegetarians in our party were well catered for. We had a great variety of stops with a short walk between them. Great tour!

We booked a street food tour with Bob during our time in Hanoi and had a really special experience. Bob is a very friendly and attentive guide who looked after all of us exceptionally well. He handled different dietary wishes and vegetarian options effortlessly. Instead of just taking us to the typical tourist spots, he brought us to local places we would never have discovered on our own. The food everywhere was amazingly tasty!! The tour felt very personal and was a lot of fun. A really special highlight was that Bob secretly organized a birthday cake for my son and surprised us with it, which was such a wonderfully thoughtful gesture. If you're in Hanoi and want to try great local food with a genuine, local guide, we can highly recommend Bob!

Truly an unforgettable experience but please go with an empty stomach because there's lots of delicious local street food. We made a new friend, Bob, our guide, perfect English, outstanding guide and explained everything as well as making us feel incredibly welcome, great guy. We were taken to multiple styles of vendors and restaurants and tried multiple breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes, along with a dessert (specialist in ice cream & sorbet). Would 100% do again and I highly recommend Bob and his tour.
