After the Temples of Karnak, proceed to Luxor Temple, which once stood connected to the former by a two-kilometer long Avenue of Sphinx. This is the second time today an EGYPTIAN "TOUR OPERATOR" FAILS TO SHOW UP. Don't bother to book them
We went on this private tour from Egypt Holiday Makers with Samah as our guide. Karnak and the Luxor Temple are historical locations that (almost) everyone will want to visit when in Luxor, so you likely don't need convincing on why to visit them. We found it more important to choose the right company/guide to take us there, and we're happy we chose this tour! We opted for a private tour because, with a 1 year old baby, we wanted to be fully in control of the pace and timing, and we were not disappointed! The booking process went as smoothly as possible and Mohamed, from Egypt Holiday Makers, was open to tailor the tour as needed to fit out schedule and circumstances. As an Egyptologist, Samah is very knowledgeable. She's not the type of guide that will rush you through the sites, jumping from place to place, trying to fit as much information as possible, but rather take you through the locations main spots, giving you the right amount of context and details in the first part of the tour, and then allow you enough time to roam around on your own, take all the pictures you might want, explore places where you might not go with a guide, etc. We also visited the west bank with the same company/guide and, all in all, we are very delighted with them and especially with Samah!

We visited the most important places in Luxor with Samar, a guide who is completely passionate about her job. She explained us all the history of each monument we visited.
