Private Düsseldorf Walking Tour – History, Culture & Hidden Gems

Description
Düsseldorf is a really beautiful city that offers an interesting contrast between the old town (Altstadt) and the modern buildings (Medienhafen). If you are not sure where to start to explore this city, let me show you this beautiful place from the perspective of someone who knows and calls this city home. My tour is a chance to live and breathe Düsseldorf through the eyes of someone who loves the city. On my Walking Tour I will tell you the history of the city, recite poems by Heinrich Heine, tell some urban legends and show you the place where the conspiracy against the Nazis took place during World War II, there will also be scavenger hunts and I will tell the story of the city's least popular character, the Vampire of Düsseldorf. A really cool story.

Main Square: An epicentre of history, culture, art and festivity. This is where the city comes alive during Carnival.
A walk along the Rhine is a real spectacle. As one of the largest rivers in Europe, its waters still hide many charming stories. For example, have you ever heard of the hunger stones?

We were with family and everyone has remained very satisfied - the smallest and oldest!! Have fun, information about the city and just assumed walk!! Top!! Thank you!!
I did the tour of Düsseldorf and the experience was very good. It was a pleasant, interesting and very well explained tour. The guide, Alejandro, is a dynamic, eloquent person with a lot of lips, which makes the tour fly by. In addition, it created a very pleasant atmosphere. I definitely recommend it.
Very good tour. Thank you very much
Jose was a warm, friendly informative guide. Would definitely recommend. He had great recommendations and suggestions that made our trip more enjoyable.
Our walking tour started at chocolate shop. We headed down cobblestone streets where our guide recommended different restaurants. He also talked about the different beer companies in Düsseldorf. He showed us the city, state & country flags. He also told about a battle where Düsseldorf’s army allowed the enemy pass through the city to save so many soldiers’ lives. Instead of fighting the enemy, loosing & loosing the lives of the soldiers & the people of Düsseldorf.
The tour was very good. We met a lot of interesting information about the city. Very nice experience. We went early and were only 2 people.
Excellent guide! Ameno and funny, very professional, included a poetry he recited. I loved it. He showed us the best of Düsseldorf with anecdotes and knowledge. Excellent. Congratulations
