Itinerary

5 min

We start the journey where Copenhagen’s heartbeat meets the water - at the city’s famous lakes. Learn how Nørre Søgade became one of Copenhagen’s most coveted addresses, where elegant architecture and serene views meet timeless Danish design.

10 min

Stop by vibrant Nørreport Station for local insights and top picks at Torvehallerne, Copenhagen’s beloved food hall. Then enjoy a quick journey through the city’s royal timeline, highlighting Copenhagen’s most notable kings and the marks they left on Denmark’s history.

5 min

Make a quick stop at the crossroads of Øster Voldgade and Sølvgade, where Copenhagen’s cultural treasures come into view. From here, take in the elegant Rosenborg Castle, the grand Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK), and the lush Botanical Gardens — three iconic landmarks that blend history, art, and nature into one perfect Copenhagen moment.

10 min

Next, we stop at the edge of Kastellet, Copenhagen’s historic star-shaped fortress. Here, you’ll step back to the 17th century to take a look how the city once looked and hear stories about the visionary and powerful King Christian IV, who helped shape much of modern Copenhagen.

10 min

Next up is Copenhagen’s most iconic landmark — the Little Mermaid statue. Here, we uncover the real story behind Hans Christian Andersen’s famous character and her connection to Danish culture. From this spot, enjoy a lovely view across the canal, offering a fresh perspective of the city from the waterfront.

5 min

As we step into the world of King Frederik V, we pause beside St. Alban’s Church to admire its stunning architecture. Here, you’ll also get an overview of the Frederiksstaden district, setting the stage for exploring one of Copenhagen’s most elegant and historic neighborhoods.

15 min

Standing in the heart of Amalienborg Square, you’re surrounded by Copenhagen’s rich culture and history. Admire the Amalienborg Palace, home of the Danish royal family, with the statue of Frederik V at its center. Look around to take in the elegant Marmorkirken (Marble Church) and across the canal, spot the modern grandeur of the new Opera House, blending tradition and contemporary design in one stunning view.

5 min

After leaving the Frederiksstaden district, you’ll have the option to take a short detour for a coffee and pastry at a local café, or continue straight to Nyhavn Street. As we pass the famous harbor, we’ll share the history behind its iconic colorful buildings before crossing the Inderhavnsbroen bridge, enjoying sweeping views of Copenhagen’s waterfront.

Pass by

Next, we cycle through the Christianshavn district, famous for its canals and charming streets. Admire the Dutch-inspired architecture, a nod to the city’s 17th-century planners, giving the area a feel that hints of Amsterdam while remaining uniquely Copenhagen.

20 min

Next, we explore Christiania, Copenhagen’s famous free town, known for its creative spirit, street art, and unique culture. You can browse a one-of-a-kind building materials store with eclectic items or take a break at the handbuilt playground, complete with a fun zip line, capturing the playful and artistic energy of this neighborhood.

15 min

Finally, before returning to the starting point, we may have time to take the elevator to the top of CopenHill, Copenhagen’s innovative green rooftop. From here, learn about the city’s sustainability initiatives and enjoy a sweeping view over the neighborhoods we’ve explored, a perfect way to reflect on your journey through the Danish capital.

Great time with young kids and adults

We had a wonderful time!! Dennis was our guide was so informative and took good care of us. We traveled with our 1 year old and 3 year old. They both loved it and we even stopped at a trampoline area for them. They both fell a sleep in the cargo for a bit which was ideal. We loved all of the historic sites and it was also nice to stop as needed (to play for the kids and for coffee/food for the adults). We would recommend this if you are looking for a fun way to see the city with the family!

With aging parents who...

With aging parents who have mobility issues, this is a great way to explore the city as a group. My parents had a wonderful time in the cargo seats while with the electric assist the bikers had no problems with the extra weight. We were able to see the top sites and really get a feel for the city. Fun was had by all!

Informative and fun

We booked this tour mainly bacause my wife had an accident which means she was currently unable to walk far or very quickly. The guide, Karl, offered to either drive us both with a front carraige, or whatever we preferred. I was happy to ride my own bike whilst Karl drove my wife. There was only 2 of us, so it felt like a very private tour. We went all round Copenhagen and Karl has great knowledge and shares in a friendly way. Weather was great. My wife was very comfortable and enjoyed being 'chauffered' around!! It has been years since I have ridden a bike, but found it very enjoyable. They have an area to practice in before you start. Meeting point is simple to find, just a 5 min walk from Metro. We also had great breakfast at Mad&Kaffe before, about 2 min walk from Metro (in opposite direction) Would strongly recommend both the tour and the cafe!!

A great tour with our study abroad group

We had an amazing private tour with our study abroad group. We learned so much about the city and had a blast learning to drive cargo bikes. Michel and Karl were very knowledgeable and patient teaching us to navigate the city. Highly recommend!

A great way to see Copenhagen!

Andreas was excellent!! He had planned out a great route with many stops to take in the location. We saw many different areas of Copenhagen that we wouldn’t have explored on our own. The cargo bikes were a perfect solution for us, as two of us were unable walk the city. Very cold, but Andreas supplied blankets and made sure we had a warm-up break. A great way to see the city with a local guide who took great care of us.

A blast!

our tour already happend in june 2018, but we still speak about all the interesting things and facts we learnd. Andreas took a lot of time to answer all the questions and get into a discussion about all the diffrent topics he mentiont. Driving with the bikes was first a bit scary but we got used to it very quickly. Sitting and driving through this lovely city was wonderfull. The whole tour was a blast! Don't hesitate to book a tour with Andreas!

Absolute delight!

So I was desperately looking for a last minute booking.... Work and life had been crazy until my long awaited birthday break in Copenhagen. and I wanted to make sure my mom, who joined me there, would have a good time as well. I have say the weather was fantastic, and so that may have tinted my glasses a rosy shade BUT I am pretty sure the tour would have been fantastic anyways. For. starters, I wanted to try driving the bike myself, so Andreas jumped in front with my mom. I thought it would be hard but the bike was so comfy and the electric engine was so good that I barely felt the effort...so I kept peddling for the rest of the tour lol. Found it so fun, and Andreas' chosen theme of the Danish Definition of Happiness was a great topic. I have been working in DK fora while and am planning to move there so understanding the history and culture is a massive plus here. On top of all that, Andreas is one of the kindest, patient and personable guy I ever met. We had such a great chat throughout and it felt more than a service being delivered. It was a human encounter and a great cultural lesson.

Hands down best tour ever!!!

We were meant to do this tour our first day in Copenhagen but it was raining which was so disappointing. Thankfully Andreas was so amazing and shuffled things around so that we could do it the next day which we really appreciated. We had the best afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Andreas talk about the history and culture of Denmark. The bikes were comfortable and blankets are supplied but if you are doing the tour in winter make sure you dress very warm as it does get cold but don't be put off doing the tour, you will love it. We did many great tours during our holiday but this one was the best.
