Itinerary
One of Ireland’s top visitor experiences, the Cliffs of Moher tower over the rugged west County Clare coast. The Cliffs of Moher’s elemental beauty has captivated visitors since the early 19th century, making them one of Ireland’s first and top ‘tourist attractions’. According to local folklore, the cliffs are said to be home to otherworldly beings and mystical creatures. We will be driving 45 minutes to get to this attraction and spend approx 90 minutes at the attraction.
Doolin is a great Irish village. Small, charming, and filled with friendly locals, it's a must stop for anyone travelling along Wild Atlantic Way. A great spot to stop for lunch and a wander after the Cliffs. After this, there will be a 30 minute journey to the Poulnabrone Dolmen.
Situated on the high Burren limestone plateau, Poulnabrone Dolmen is one of Ireland’s most iconic archaeological monuments and is the second most visited location in the Burren after the Cliffs of Moher. It is the oldest dated megalithic monument in Ireland. We will be driving back to your accommodation from here.
A photo opportunity outside the world famous Matchmaker Bar. This is the location of the annual world renowned Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival.
A quick stop to admire the viewing point near the top of the Corkscrew hill offers a vista of a natural amphitheater carved out by giant ice sheets of ancient ice ages. The ice sheets left behind a fertile valley surrounded by Aillwee Mountain to the East, Cappanwalla Mountain to the West and opening out onto Galway Bay to the North.

Awesome guide AL. Highly recommend. Friendly and knowledgeable. Would give more stars if we could.
Wow… what a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Alan was great! It was so nice seeing all the sights and not having to rush. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We really got a taste of the beauty, culture and history of Ireland. And lunch in Doolin was delicious! The tour was a splurge for us, but totally worth it!
Our tour and tour guide (Allan) was amazing! We made some amazing stops along the way to view some cultural and historical sites. Then on to the Cliffs. Stopped for a great lunch in Doolin at a pub recommended by our guide. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We did not feel rushed or pressured for time. I would highly recommend this tour! We are so glad we booked it.
Trevor provided a comprehensive tour along with much local knowledge and history of the area. I recommend Trevor as an exceptional tour guide.
We had a great day with Trevor, we got to see a lot as well as get some history and fun facts on different towns along the way! His professionalism and personality made a great combination in providing us with an awesome day!! I would highly recommend him and this tour to anyone interested!
This was our only guided driving tour during a week in Ireland. It was nice seeing the gorgeous sights around Cliffs of Moher and the Burren without worrying about driving (especially as Americans accustomed to driving on the right side). Trevor was a pleasant and knowledgeable host. His umbrellas came in handy during a hailstorm at the Poulnabrone Domen (which otherwise would have been inaccessible.) A splurge for us, but an enriching experience.
Visited Ireland with an older group of friends and wanted a more private experience visiting the western coast of Ireland (including the cliffs of Moher) than the all day time constraints and large buses packed with people. We were very pleased with this tour from start to finish. Our guide, Trevor was very knowledgeable and accommodating for our older group of friends and flexible with the custom itinerary that we wanted to experience. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour for a more intimate experience of the area with flexibility and wants to avoid the large groups and crowds.
Hi Lee, Thank you for your kind words and again for letting me guide you and your friends around the local area. It was my pleasure, I hope you all had a safe and pleasant onward journey. Thanks again Trevor
