However, based on the exclusive criteria of the water taxi captain and depending on weather conditions, tide level, boats traffic in the lagoon, flight delays or the waiting queue at water taxi dock at airport or any other element outside our control, we can decide to provide a private ground transportation from Marco Polo airport to Piazzale Roma and then a water taxi from Piazzale Roma to your destination in Venice, instead of a direct transfer. For the safety of passengers and following the maritime regulations in Italy, the decision of the captain must be accepted and can't be a reason for cancellation, complaint or refund requests.

Fantastic experience and well worth the money. Our driver was waiting for us when we arrived. Got us to the water taxi. Handled the luggage. We rolled up in one of those cool, all wood boats to our hotel. My wife said “it was like we were James Bond.” Great experience. Great drivers. I’d give it 6 stars but they will only let me give them 5.
Not at all worth the money. Aside from the lovely lady that met us at the airport everything was a rude disaster. The boat drive was late by 15+ minutes and didn’t acknowledge us, speak to us, help us with bags. He ignored us the entire speedy way to the hotel and dropped us 200 yards away.
The driver was at the designated spot when we arrived. The weather was rainy so we were shuttled to a different location for the water taxi. The water taxi was supposed to take us to the hotel but said they couldn’t for some reason. As a result, we were dropped off at St. Mark’s with no directions to our hotel. Lugging baggage in the rain and dark and not knowing where to go was stressful. Not worth the money we spent.
Amazing experience and got to be the best way to arrive in Venice. We landed early evening, so were able to see the Canal in the daylight and then after sunset

Fast, efficient, classy and what a way to arrive at the hotel. Short two minute transfer by vehicle to the dock and then straight to your boat. Fast transfer from airport to the dock of our hotel across the lagoon and via the side canals was great. Tip; driver of the taxi that takes you the short distance to the dock may wait inside or outside of the arrivals area.
It is a water taxi nothing more. The Captain looked at us one time said Rialto Bridge and that was our entire “tour”. If you don’t want to commute with a lot of other people I would recommend the water taxi alone. Same service same speed half the price. The boats are beautiful and floating along the grand canal is great but don’t pay for the “tour”.
We arrived at the airport and was greeted by a very nice young lady who took us to the boat dock. The driver showed us and her a crude map to our hotel. As this was the first day of our trip, we were not sure what to expect. The young lady was speaking to him in Italian and did not sound pleased. She tried to explain the map. The driver dropped us off in the rain at the dock. We wandered through the alleyways for over 20 minutes in the rain, until we contacted the hotel who guided us to their door. We looked at the reservation and learned that we were supposed to be escorted to our hotel, not left at the dock. I have been trying, unsuccessfully to deal with Viator, first through our travel agent and then through our credit card company. When I call about the issue, I am told that Viator will contact me by email. It has been months, I continue to contact them but I have not received these emails. Viator did contact our credit card company, referenced a trip in Florence and denied any compensation. They had the correct booking number and our complaint but did not get the trip correct. Booking number BR100-1007174349 Really poor customer service!
Everything went great! I’m so happy we switched to meet and greet service. We arrived at 9:40 pm into Venice and it would’ve been hard to find the water taxi plus I got nervous when I read you are allowed only 1 suitcase and 1 personal item in the shared transport and that service stops at 10 pm. They took care of us. Thanks!
DO NOT BOOK THIS AT ALL! THEY SELL YOU DIFFERENT PACKAGES, AND GIVE YOU THE SAME LOW RATE TAXI BOAT, SIMPLY PUT: OVER PROMISED, UNDER DELIVERED ! SAVE YOURESELF THE MONEY AND GO TO WATER TAXI BOOTH! ITS THE SAME RIDE!
